I know we have a few unaspected Moons, here. Maira, you are one.

There is someone else, who is on the tip of my tongue. Is it Angler? Anyway, if you have one, or just know about it, what do you think?
I am trying to figure out why I crave safety

It's partially the moon but in your case it's the earth void and as a Scorpio rising, it's also the Taurus dsc.

The unaspected moon is more about emotional fragility than security. I've got the moon in my whole sign 2h so sometimes I get the need for security a bit more. For me the moon longs for my home far away as it rules my 9h cancer, and in a mut reception with jupiter.

Thank you, Angler
So, does the earth void make you crave stability and safety?

So, how would the Taurus DSC fit in to this? Do I crave Taurus energy?

Every man I have ever had a relationship with, with the exception of 2, was an earth sign.
It is usually Cap or Taurus.
Virgo square my Gem planets, so I don't like it

If I remember right Ami you have a few influences in your chart, re: h4 placements or its ruler to Uranus which leaves a deep feeling of sudden changes to your foundation, where it's hard to get a foot hold in one place. Also like someone mentioned the Earth void could point to that.

Uranus rules the 4th house and is in the 9th house.
So, could just having Uranus as the ruler of the 4th give a feeling of insecurity?

The earth void does give a sense of never feeling grounded or stable enough, on the earth, I think.
The earth feels like foreign territory.

"I drink out of jelly jars and have all mismatched dishes. Some are 25 years old and none go with the same set"
---Lol

"So, could just having Uranus as the ruler of the 4th give a feeling of insecurity?"
---Look at the hard aspects, if there are any, first for more info. Aqua on the cusp is an area under revolutions, rebellions, it's hard to say in that area whether you are coming or going, but once you get the feeling of 'this is where I belong' then it grows more into its fixed nature. Uranus ruling 4th says at least part of you is comfortable with the instability it could bring. What do you think?

Well, Lonake, Uranus is in the 9th conjunct Jupiter and Vesta.
It is square Neptune in the 12th, but that is generational. What would these aspects do, Lonake and Thank you!

conj Jupiter magnifies, those sq to Neptune blows out of proportion. So depending on other influences it could be related to increased sensitivity in that area. Even tho Uranus sq Neptune is generational it was in place for your generation, so that aspect is valid for you. Read up on it (!) There are things explained by my Saturn/Pluto conj that cannot be seen elsewhere in my chart so clearly, and that conj was limited to those born in the span of 2 yrs or so. I would not disregard that sq of yours, just the same as I would not dismiss the Uranus/Pluto Virgo conj for someone born in 1966 or the Saturn/Pluto opp of someone born 2001. Still a valid influence.
Also study the history, the news of the time period when that aspect was valid and see how it resonates with you. That is v.helpful when you're trying to grapple with outer planet influences that seem foreign to you.

Couldn't just having moon in cancer make you crave for security?

My husband has moon in cancer and when we travel he always becomes moody for at least one or two days questioning if he should have ever left home and agreed to travel. After a day or two he starts to really enjoy the new country been visited and then starts to talk about buying a piece of land in this new country (roots, cancer) LOL. Based on my experience with husband moon in cancer likes familiarity and been home....he even works from home. I have moon in 4th and I like been home a lot too and now I am working from home with him but I love traveling as well and feel the most alive when I travel bc of all my sag influence.

Speaking of voids.....how would an air void manifest itself? or a fire void or water void? interesting...

Hey Ami, I forgot that your moon is in Cancer, this must be the reason why you're craving for security.

Mine is in Taurus, in the 8th and I always long for more stability. I once read about Venus unaspected (if I remember correctly you have this too) that these people could not recognize love, even if it was there and hit them in the face There was this woman, her husband loved and cherished her, but she felt unloved. The astrologer explained and she recognized that it was indeed her problem.

I find that people who make contacts in synastry with my moon bring me peace and comfort. I think of people as permanent transits anyway.
Mine is conjunct closely Chiron and I've read that it's more sensitive than a Cancer moon, so I don't know if it being unaspected is in fact a blessing in disguise

So yes to always wanting more. In my case... more money, more emotional closeness, more safety (moon in 8th). It's never enough. Even if objectively it is, there's the feeling that it will either go away or that you really need more.

Wonderful answers, Friends
Thank you

Yes, Maira, I have an unaspected Venus. An unaspected planet is a strange one. One man really grounded my Venus, and there was nothing like it.
I must have that, in a relationship, I realize.
As far as not feeling loved, that is not my problem, as much as craving safety.

Lonake, I have not pain attention to that square. I am gonna see if I can meditate on it and get an idea of how it functions.

Thank you for the info.

Amelia, that was very interesting about your husbands Cancer moon. I can relate.

I am trying to think of some other reasons I crave safety.
My mind is wild and crazy. I have Uranus conjunct Jupiter, in the 9th, as I said.
I will study the wildest and craziest things, but to travel scares me. Perhaps, Cancer on the 9th house cusp could do this. Do you think it could?

Uranus conj Jupiter is an aspect of always being on the lookout for opportunity, restless. It's not the aspect of someone who easily finds their comfort zone, since around them they're looking at what others have and how to get it, hard to be satisfied with what's in front of them. By transit the conj could signal opportunities that have to be grabbed in a flash and there is an increased alertness.
I'm not sure what would indicate fear of travel, off the top I would think a Saturn/H9 Sagittarius connection.

This thread forced me to look at my chart in a different light. I have a cardinal and air void in my chart and always end up in relationships with people who are a mix of air and cardinal!

Furthermore if you look at my draconic chart is full of air and cardinal which I completely lack in my natal!

My parents and siblings are all cardinal signs and my parents are a mix of cardinal with air.

Does this mean that part of my journey here is to incorporate more air and cardinal qualities in my personality? or does it just mean that having cardinal/air people in my life is good bc it brings balanace into my life?

I have to say bc my NN is in gemini incorporating air qualities is easier and this has been happening but its more challenging to incorporate cardinal into my personality but like I said my parents are caps, sis cancer and brother cap. Husband libra with moon in cancer, my closest friend right now is an aqua but with cap risinng and aries in moon and mars (again mix of air with cardinal). It cant be a coincidence that I am surrounded by cardinal signs.....Is the universe trying to tell me something?!??!

any feedback would be appreciated.

That is a great question. I have an earth void and an opposition void.
Most men I date are earth signs.

However, I don't think my "goal" is to get more earth, per se.
My goal is to develop my gifts, as I can find them, in my chart.
So, I would look at it that way.

I used to feel that something was wrong with me because I did not seem to care for things that other girls did such as dish patterns, weddings and all the fancy details of things.

Now, I see it is my earth void.

I have jupiter/uranus in sag at 5 degrees conjunct my ascendent but falling in my 12th. I am not interested in what others have, I am extremely interested in personal growth......I am restless about personal growth. I do think the grass is greener on the other side but this is motivated by the desire to grow through new experiences not bc I want something that others have. What I want is usually very different from what others want, I like to do my own thing, be my own thing and think my own thing. I am happy when others do well bc I understand we are all connected and want humanity to evolve and grow.
