Off the top of my head, I would say major emotional changes throughout their lifetimes, but the one with the trine would welcome them and go with the flow, while the other one would be kicking and screaming.

Two different lessons. Hard aspects are always about overcoming imbalances within the energies of those two planets. Which is never easy. Soft aspects relieve tension of other harder aspects within the chart, energies between these planets are more balanced and expressed naturally. Squares are frustrating and difficult to manage.
