My Venus Scorpio 29 (8th H) squares Saturn in Virgo 00 (5th H). Saturn is a much stronger planet in my chart, so Venus tends to lose the struggle every time. I'm not sure this is such a terrible thing though considering Venus has a rough time when it's in Scorpio. The way this angle plays out in my psychology is a struggle between what I perceive to be “an intense emotional desire to crawl up inside whatever I find beautiful” and “the over rationalization and moralization of any desires which could be considered unacceptable”.

My Venus has rich deep desires and acts out of a need to deeply understand. This results in an attraction to emotional and sensual intensity. This Venus views raw exposure and bonding connection as valuable. This can lead to states of intense ecstasy, understanding, and metamorphosis. When Saturn in Virgo looks at this Venus, it often sees the possibility for intense emotions like lust, jealousy, and manipulation. Because these planets are square, Saturn is particularly bothered by the potential out-of-control-ness in Venus and Venus is particularly bothered by Saturn's obsession with keeping Venus hidden in a box. Again, because my Saturn is MUCH stronger than my Venus, those emotions run deep but are rarely expressed unless I am with people who understand and appreciate me deeply.

When my Venus touches a favorable transit or experiences release in synastry, she often comes out in me as a wild-eyed starvation victim. I even went through a long period of time where I would just shut down flirting before it could develop, for fear of facing an obsessive and rabid Venus. Learning to consciously let Venus out of solitary confinement to stretch her legs, is something I should be much more aware of, even today. I don't know of anyone who I have shared synastry with, who also had Saturn squaring my Venus. I'm convinced my Venus endures enough abuse from my own Saturn, to go seeking more from other people. =)

the man I like has venus square saturn in his natal but we also have it in our synastry. along with other aspects I know him and I have a magnetic attraction and sota silent connection.. but should i be the one (venus) doing all the work so to loosen him up as in asking him how is his day or basically talking first...would it make him more comfy around me, I also dont want to look desperate.

LOL I'm trying Damnit. Unfortunately with Saturn there is always a process... preferably containing diagrams and negotiation of contracts. Then discussion and signature of release forms, and finally a follow up questionnaire after the grace period has ended. If I'm lucky my Venus should be done with community service by the year 2035.
