Topic: Anti - Continuing the Ancestral Line

There have been many posts on the forum about having children or what aspects are predicative, however I've been pondering what would make someone disinterested in having children or continuing the line of reproduction. Is intentionally choosing not having children taboo? It's definitely not conventional. I truly believe Karma gets passed down ancestrally and I've wondered what would happen if the ancestral line ended. Would all their Karma stay and end with that one person, ending the line of Karmic carnage. Think JFK and the Kennedy Family Curse. I've always been very disinterested in the idea of having children. I have a family, they include my friends and my parents, siblings, cousins, lost souls, etc. At most I'd consider adoption but I think I'd rather go stag this life time around. I'm in my mid twenties and yes I've got time to ponder this further but I've always known I wouldn't have children, it was never a decision just something I knew wouldn't be mine in this life time. I've even had a health prognosis to mildly confirm it and I'm content with that. Honestly, I'd like to spend my life exploring and traveling, leaving no visible trace of myself behind, just cosmic energy. Interacting with indigenous people and cultures, passing through as a drifter, acquiring and sharing ancient knowledge, town to town, city to city. I've got Aquarius Rising and Uranus conjunct my Midheaven in Sagittarius. What are your opinions surrounding procreation? Yes or NO to the decision to continue your line of reproduction? It would be illuminating if you included what astrological placements could have had a hand in deciding either/or. Yay or Nay to offspring and why? IP: Logged |

As some people will not want to have kids, other family members will and the line still continues with that family. Plus fate will step in anyways... I didnt want to have kids.. But things happen and I have 2... I love them, but they were unplanned and I didnt really ever say I want kids.. IP: Logged |

Thanks for all the responses. And my descriptions about Karma are just from my personal experiences. I don't mean to generalize, just speaking from experience. If anyone else would like to share reasons for or against having children, I'd love to add those responses to my astrological analysis. IP: Logged |

Caroline Kennedy is still alive (also has 3 kids of her own) and kicking it, so I don't think that applies to this topic. I don't want to give birth. Scares the crap out of me. Children are interesting to me, but I don't want to deal with all the crap they bring. I'm an Aqua Sun, 9th house, opposite Black Moon Lilith, conjunct Mercury Rx, trine Moon in Libra in 5th. 5th house in Libra, Venus in Pisces in 10th conjunct NN, square Saturn, Uranus and Chiron.
