This goes out to the gents.

As a Cancer, I've always been really curious about other people's "secret" home lives - especially the men I've dated. I'm that girl who secretly investigates your whole bathroom and medicine cabinets to figure you out. LOL but who doesn't! (Admit it - y'all love to do it, too!) My curiosity has unveiled some interesting things about people... I of course NEVER judge anyone. My cheeky lil Gemini Venus just can't help but take a wee peek at your "drawers"!

Anywho, three of my serious relationships (which is all of them, really) were with guys with strong Cancer and Virgo placements. To sum up my experience in one word: LAUNDRY. They're either in the process of doing it or talking about needing to do it. When they're finished, they CANNOT be disrupted whilst sorting, folding, and putting away their favorite t-shirt from Mom and only pair of two-year old jeans lest you want to be given the "death eye" while they chastise you for leaving a pile of dirty whatnot under your side of the bed. Sorry, but this Pisces Mars totally forgot that it was there while I was... erm... doing something else I've forgotten that I was doing instead. I'll do it later (read: two weeks from now).

My Cancer bf and I live with another Cancer with heavy Leo placements. His bathroom is his domain. All his grooming products are carefully placed and displayed for all to see. And nothing is spared expense. I mean - the boy has platinum silver NAIL CLIPPERS. He has a $600 projector set up on the wall next to his bed so he can display his reel (he's in film) to all guests, especially the ladies. The paintings in the living room are worth more than my previous annual salary. And, of course, his favorite person in the house is my Leo kitten who he spoils with attention and vice versa.

So what are your home quirks, gents? Are you messy, clean? Who are your roommates? Or do you prefer to live alone? Why? I'm curious because I'm out of cabinets to look through.

Hahaha, interesting topic!

I currently go over on weekends and spend a few nights with my scorpio boyfriend (he lives by himself). Actually, he is a bit messy at home. He likes to throw his clothes everywhere (to which I have to pick up and put back in the right place). He does do his laundry, but he pays people downstairs at the apartment office to do his laundry (hahhaha, he's a busy scorpion who doesn't have time to do such things I guess!).

He likes his place to be neat and clean but he really doesn't clean his place much, so when I go over on the weekends I make his place sparkling clean and neat (which of course he appreciates).

He leaves used cups out everywhere, his dishes uncleaned and at the sink, leaving pots and pans on the stove (with some of the food junk still stuck to it). He also leaves his grooming stuff out everywhere in the bathroom. His cabinets are usually neat and clean (cuz its the things he doesn't really use often)

I seriously think it's a manly man thing, the messy-ness.

My gemini sun/taurus moon S.O. HATES housework (outside and in)
Im currently (and have been for a long time) on strike because he will not help around here.

The other day I asked him if hes ever done a FULL load of laundry; sorting, washing, drying, putting away.
He said 'Yes, my hunting clothes, once.'
UGH!

He leaves the toothpaste cap off and toothpaste in the sink. He throws his shoes wherever they land (and they WILL stay there for months on end) he sets his dishes next to the sink...

I quit trimming the bushes (mainly because I cant reach them), a satellite fell off the house MONTHS ago... still in the bushes.

Ive just refused to do anything since he doesnt want to. I want him to suffer just as much as I have to (only difference is he is only here an hour maybe 2 awake.. Im here for 120 hours straight a week.)

Now the house is so backed up in cleaning I dont even want to live here.. But Im not doing it myself.
Teaching a taurus moon whos is lazy and stubborn and sloppy is becoming very difficult and fires up my aries moon a lot.

...i wanted to add that I dont let the house get nasty. Sloppy is one thing, nasty is another.

I think I'm equal parts a slob and a neat freak. I do my laundry only when I run out of underwear. I'll leave my stuff all over the place, but I get really upset over random little things like if the toothpaste is left uncapped or the dishwasher is loaded incorrectly. (You know, because I'm an authority on loading the dishwasher. ) I generally keep my mess to my bedroom. I don't see the point in making my bed because I'm usually the only one who sees it. I've decided that I really have no interest in ever owning a house because yard work/snow removal/general home maintenance doesn't appeal to me whatsoever. I'd rather pay HOA fees.

I'm a Cancer Sun/Virgo Moon/Sag ASC.

My home is immaculate, even when I was a bachelor. All my clothes were perfectly folded and my bathrooms were clean all the time, even as a bachelor. But then I'm a Capricorn and I was also ex-military.

My wife keeps it even more perfect now.

Please don't stereotype men.

Hahaha! I think you nailed it. My boyfriend is a Cancer (with Leo Venus/Mars) and he has to have EVERYTHING IN HIS BATHROOM PUT AWAY EXACTLY IN ITS PLACE. He also immediately folds his laundry when he's done with it. AND he makes his bed every day (which I find absurd).

As for the curiosity thing, I have never gone through anyone's bathroom cabinet, ever. I wouldn't think to do it. I guess I don't find their medical issues interesting? I do like reading other people's blogs/twitters/facebooks. I find that sheds more light on people's personalities.

I vacumned by moving my bedroom furniture each and every time. As a 21 year old bachelor, I had no dust bunnies under my bed.

As to women who couldn't handle that, it was a natural process of selection, wasn't it? Fortunately, or unfortunately, however you view it, I married a woman who's even more obssessive about everything than I am.

lol funny topic- i just came from my SO's home- capricorn with sag moon and pisces rising. mostly very neat with a lot of artifacts & antiques ( i tell him his home is like a museum) with a lot of unfinished projects. He's a contractor....half a ceiling in the kitchen, bathroom is ripped out and he was installing a new toilet when I left. A lot of piles...I call him a mole lol. He makes piles of messes when he cleans so he can sort through them later. he so mutable sometimes...lol. in rush to start something then fades out and leaves it as is. Forgets to feed the fishes, turn the dishwasher on when he loads it, etc. I only give his home a thorough cleaning about once a month since he is so busy sometimes...My OCD will kick in and I can't take it.

It's not so much about finding medical issues than just picking up small clues about one's personality through their bathroom stuffs. For example, in college, I was trying to date a Pisces. I noticed that he had a lot of mustache products (this was when Movember was becoming popular), so that Christmas I bought him a book on mustaches. Or another example would be if a guy has an extra toothbrush that looks fairly used. Does he have a girlfriend? Or a lot of girls over? Etc etc.

While I'm really bad with my laundry, I am Dictator Purrr of Kitchen Cleanliness. No one cleans up the kitchen better than I do. My stovetop is immaculate and I clean the stove top grates at least once a week. After the kitchen, I'm usually a Nazi about the bathroom, too. The boys bite the dust (or rather, bite the IMMACULATELY clean wood floors), when I clean up after them. I get obsessive about keeping the kitchen counters disinfected, too. Grime makes me want to crawl into a corner and weep.

Oh yeah?!? Eva Braun at home irons the drapes, dining room table cloth, and the bed sheets and duvets! I shine the soles of her shoes.

Hahahaha, I feel exactly the same about the kitchen....because of the fact that it is probably one of the most grim-my places in the house it absolutely HAS to be almost immaculate.

I lived with my recent ex boyfriend and he wasn't a neat-freak but he wasn't messy, either. He would pick things up, vacuum, wash dishes, fix things, etc. The only real messes he'd make is with his facial hair clippings in the sink and not making the bed.

He is a Libra sun/Sag moon/Cancer rising/Scorpio Venus/Libra mars.

My dad is also a clean guy. He hates messes, but he doesn't need the house to be immaculate. He likes things to be put away, nothing on the floors, no dirty dishes lying about, etc.

He's an Aries sun/Aquarius moon/Aquarius rising/Aries venus/Pisces mars.

My little brother is also fairly clean. His room is simple and minimalistic and he keeps things off the floors and i don't see many dirty dishes lying in his room. He used to be a messy kid but now that he's older (he's 20) he has changed to be more like my dad.

He is Scorpio sun/Leo moon/Virgo rising/Virgo venus/Scorpio mars.

I don't think it has to do with "manly men" being messy...I think it has a lot to do with how you were raised and whether or not you're just a pig.

I think its a function more of personality. I was raised not lifting a finger, having the hired help picking up after me and doing everything for me. Yet, being an obssessive and compulsive Capricorn, I grew to do everything myself well when I left home. Also, my Leo wife would take her steel toe boots to my posterior if I were to be a slob.

If "manly men" are supposed to live in a pig sty and engage in other disgusting habits, then I much rather not be a "manly man." Its ok. Call me anything you want.

A Pisces i know hates germs,he is a germ freak washing his hands a million times a day and showers twice a day,He won't leave his own toothbrush in the bathroom, keeps it in a zip baggie? because germs might get on it.But as for his home,he is a clutter bug.Keeps empty water bottles all over the house for months. He has boxes from when he moved in 2 years ago that are still unpacked in his bedroom. He is meticulous about washing his sheets, but waits till the end of the night to do so, right before bed last minuet. And his homework and papers are in piles everywhere very unorganized. He's no slob, and takes care of his appearance but his house is cluttered and he waits last minuet to do the work..though his video games are in perfect order lol and his consoles are dust free.

I am a Capricorn and a clean freak! can't live without lysol, and disinfectant sprays, bleach etc.

Hmm, I really meant for this topic to be more about the little things guys do or have or love in their home that shows a little insight into her personality AND birth chart. The bathroom was really just an example. I mean, we can only talk so much about cleanliness lol. But that's my fault.

OK, new example... my Dad is an Aries Sun/Moon and Leo Rising. He LOVES to hunt. I mean, he's been hunting for the past 23 years. He hasn't missed a single deer hunting season. In his closet, next to his ties, he has green vault where he keeps two rifles and a shotgun. Tucked below his business suits and hawaiian shirts is his hunting gear and a box full of bullets. You would never think that such a cheerful guy like my Dad would love to shoot down animals twice his size.

BTW, please don't start an argument about animal rights for deer, blah blah. Do you know how many deer there are in Wisconsin? Or Kentucky? Or Illinois. Too many. In two Wisconsin counties, motor vehicle-deer crashes outnumbered non-deer crashes. So if it makes my Daddy happy to shoot down a buck and make some venison burgers then I'm perfectly fine with it.
