What effect does it have to have my Ascendant in Gemini, but also my South Node in Gemini? Does that mean I have a tendencies to fall back on old habits?

I think it means in the past you've had lessons related to the sign and archetype of Gemini and in this lifetime you will continue to learn that while learning how to integrate your Sagittarius North Node into the equation.

You should read esoteric astrology. It might help you better understand having Gemini Rising and how it all impacts your Moon Nodes. Sign placements are about lessons, and sometimes you have to go backwards in order to successfully move forward.
