I like Chinese astrology as much as western astrology...but Chinese is a bit less popular over here so I figured I'd post as many as I could find for whoever is interested.

2012 prediction http://horoscopes2012.com/2012-chinese-horoscope-2012/horse-2012-horoscope.html

This one is kind of lame, barely says anything, but what the hey. http://chinesehoroscopes2012.blogspot.com/2011/03/horse-chinese-horoscope-2012.html

Sorry if they all start on Horse. Dats my sign.I had to type in chinese horoscope 2012 horse. Other wise you get the same ol sh!t with every web site just talking about every sign, and their personalities and its like "NOOOOH I just wanna know my horoscope!"

Year 2012 is the Year of the Dragon! It begins on January 23, 2012. The Dragon is a creature of myth and legend. In ancient China, the celestial Dragon represents an emperor and power. Today, it is the ultimate auspicious symbol signifying success and happiness.

2012 is the Year of the Water Dragon.. what a contradiction because a dragon spouts fire (there is Water, Wood Fire and Earth).

I am a Water Rabbit, and Rabbits and Dragons don't mix, so conventional wisdom is that it won't be a good year for me.

How do I know this nonsense? I'm Chinese

It means that next year would be good for you. Sprinkle some salt on it and pour a whole bottle of soy sauce. I have no idea what all of that gibberish means nor do I place faith in it, and I am Chinese.

I'm pretty sure that means all those animals give you the personality you have...(IF YOU BELIEVE! lol) Kind of like how in western we have rising, sun, moon...etc. Except in chinese there are only four things. And Each hour, day, month, and year is ruled by an animal.

Do you relate with these?

"THE EARTH DRAGON

Earth Dragons make great managers because they are practical, levelheaded and demonstrate a knack for organizing. They still have the need to dictate and be admired, but they are affable, congenial and supportive. Compared to other Dragons, Earth Dragons are less likely to breathe fire at the least irritation. They will work diligently to complete their life goals. The Earth element adds a greater portion of self-control to the Dragon's personality and usually the Earth Dragon is deserving of the respect he or she desires. These Dragons take their life and romantic responsibilities quite seriously.

THE METAL MONKEY

Persuasive and passionate, this Monkey is a warm person. He is successful due to his innate determination and ambitious nature. He works hard to climb the ladder of success and prefers to work alone. They are loyal employees, always prepared and tactful with answers and upper management. In love these Monkeys are just as loyal as well as loving and affectionate.

THE WOOD RAT

Despite having a remarkable facade of self-confidence, deep down, Wood Rats are the least sure of themselves compared to other Rats. However, they wouldn't dream of showing this side of themselves to anyone. Only close companions of a Wood Rat would ever suspect that he or she had such self-doubt. In fact Wood Rats are often worried about downfall, despite their ability to find success. Well-liked, proficient, and good leaders at work, Wood Rats seem to function best when they are surrounded by family and friends. Cordial and delicate, they are usually well loved by family, friends and peers.

THE WOOD PIG

Wood Pigs are strong-minded individuals who give of themselves continuously. They have hearts of gold and won’t take no for an answer from a friend in need. These Pigs are practical, down-to-earth and industrious people, always looking for the next project to take on. They enjoy working in groups and work well with other people. "

^ i would say so, minus the rat.... comparing them to western astrology, i would think what the wood rat represents is my Venus in Cancer.. i'm not sure how the elements work in chinese astrology but I'm guessing that it works by using what we consider 'decans', yeah?

this is what I remember some elements go well together, while others are destructive to each other.

The cycle goes like
Earth, Metal, Water, Wood, Fire

I will have to find a good description...to explain it

to be honest, i don't feel comfortable using that. mercury will go retro once it continues it's transit through sagittarius later on, and the last thing i think i'd want to do is enter my information on a website with anything, even the word 'chinese'.. i don't want to later receive e-mails claiming that i won 1,000,000,000.00 yen and that they'd like me to confirm stuff so that they can transfer the funds over to my bank in the usa.
