I have Mercury in Sag conjunct my Sun.
My mother was celebrating her 60th birthday on sunday and beforehand reminded me that some of her friends are VERY sensitive to certain subjects and might not always get my sense of humour / irony.
I guess that sais it all!
it`s not that I am rude, but maybe communicating too open sometimes, not even thinking for a moment that anynone could take something I say personally.
My Mum`s Mercury is in Scorpio btw.
And it`s exhausting for her when my brother and me meet, because we have a very quick kind of verbal exchange between us, funoriented and love to discuss movies, music (as if it is the most important thing in the world), educational and social issues, as well as discussing
things that seem "far out there" from conspiracy theories about the possibility of alien abduction to I don`t know what. Usually over lunch, in a small talk voice.
My mom must sometimes get scared about our sanity, but it is just for fun, for the two of us. My brother has Mercury in Aquarius sextile my Mercury, and a Moon-Jupiter-Uranus-conjunction in Sagittarius, which falls onto my ASC, neptune and ASC.
Anyway, I DID control myself on sunday, and tried not to provoke any aghast reactions.

I have it along with ON mc and venus,sun in sagittarus. Despite of being detriment of mercury in sag, it gives high analytical abilities(says not me  ), vision, bluntness(while talking) and prophetic instincts or impulses. They are always either right at the end or so wrong. They have good sense of justice and some acts according to that sense. If heavily bad aspected, it gives irregular way of living. It is good for leaders especially spiritual ones. A bad tendency is not caring details but not NOT SEEING it. @RegardesPlatero
you are so obsessed with that trait of mercury sagittarus(bluntness in talking) because you have mercury in libra which is good for preserving harmony, nice talking etc.. Your mind works in good human relations so you always mention that way of your mother. Dont take it personally but mercury in libra is not good placement for a leader, because leaders must have visionary and sometimes they should be direct.

Hmm, I'm a Sun Sag Merc Sag and I don't just "blurt" out stuff. I'm honest though especially when my opinion is asked. I'm the one e.g. who will tell you when your mouth is dripping syrup, instead of letting you being humiliated in public. (Those kind of dilemmas were never real dilemmas for me lol - I must tell you; why risk public humiliation when your friend helps you correct it?)
I think as I matured I became more tactful and diplomatic (Jup in Libra here lol). I'm an Aqua Rising with Venus in Scorpio and Pluto in the 8th. Also, both my Sun and Merc are in tight conjunction to Neptune. Because I understand water sign energies so well, I guess I'm a bit more sensitive than your average Sag. Also it helps when you're intuitive; I'm able to get myself in other people's shoes so easily that it's impossible not to predict people's reactions to certain things.
Having said that, I do have a wicked sense of humor and that is one chapter where I let my Sag self hang all out lol. When I joke, I may offend you unless you know me and how I say it. So I usually gloss over it with "just joking" both in person and online.
I do not know many people who can appreciate my sense of humor; those who do, have all become my closest friends.  IP: Logged |

I have Mercury in Sagittarius, 29th degree...in 2nd house, conjunct Sun in Capricorn and Uranus in Sagittarius, square my Mars in Pisces.I am blunt, very blunt. Vulgar, sometimes a little harsh. But I always throw humor into whatever I'm saying..even if I'm sad. I love to learn..to expand my knowledge..I love to think about all sorts of different things, from all viewpoints..I love to argue, debate, and often play devil's advocate. I also hate injustice and will defend something I believe is right even if others believe it is wrong. I love to SHARE knowledge..a lot of people might see this as me trying to be a know-it-all but really I just think you might find something I know interesting, too, so I want to share it. I am extremely analytical and critical and cynical....but there is an undying optimism that colors all my perspective and I find that a very Sagittarian quality. IP: Logged | |
