So this is specifically for people who have a ton of Sag in your chart (not so much asteroids, planets specifically). Lets say at least around 3-5 planets. I happen to have the following planets in Sagittarius:

Sun, Moon, Venus, Saturn & Uranus.

My question is how do you all approach romantic relationships/intimacy?

I know there are placements, and angles that effect this. I ask because most people I know with tons of Sag placements are extremely serious about relationships (when they are in one/interested in one), and happen to be extremely passionate loyal people once they commit and are often classic romantics. And many others I have encountered have been extremely sensitive.

With regard to sex (perhaps being half-beast half [wo]man), at least me personally, I view it as a spiritual experience and merging of two people with the body being used as a vehicle for this ethereal expression. It is almost like going to a different place altogether, for me--and I take you with me. While I have a strong drive, I can go without until the right one comes along (something I have noticed in others as well). When that 'one' comes along, that is the only one I really want to be with--completely. They get all of my special attention. :-)

Some of these things tend to go against the generalized Sag stereotype, so I figured I'd get other opinions as well as those who have encountered people with many planetary placements in the sign. But from my observations, I've noticed some similarities.

I don't have that much Sag in my chart but just wanna day that I think the conjunctions between all of those planets in the stellium affect the energy more than the sign it is in.

I have Sun, Mercury, Uranus and Saturn in Sag in the 5th house. I am exactly the same way. Always have been. I definately do not take relationships lightly. I am actually very different to all my friends and how they approach relationships, not to say they don't take relationships as seriously as i do, just that i view my relationship very spiritually and would be celibate if i were not in a relationship, because i would wait for somebody special> this sounds very 'idealistic' and something a lot of people grow out of the older they become but most Sag's are like this; very idealistic and also intensely loyal.. the most loyal i have met in fact (not biased) but genuinely i have witnessed this. I also have venus conjunct pluto in scorpio so this probably adds to my own intense feeling of loyalty but on a general basis i have found most Sag's are NOT players, fickle and lighthearted in romance as most generalisations would lead people to believe, some are, like some other signs are too but most Sag's believe in TRUE LOVE...

I'm not a "mega" Sag, but my early degree Sag sun prompted me to write in when I read the above post. I agree that the characterization of Sags as fickle when it comes to relationships is a huge label that doesn't express many of us. With my early degrees Sag sun I'm supposed to be "irresponsible" and "commitment-phobic" and I'm anything but that.
I think Sags have the warmth of the fire element in their relationships but also the impetuousness and idealism of air, so even though they ARE responsible once they commit, they won't commit until they have found what satisfies their "ideal".
It's a totally different type of energy than the real fickle Gemini (for instance). The fire element "grounds" a Sag in his idealism. Not sure if I make sense.

Its not all glamour being a Sag though so don't be fooled.Having Saturn there and Uranus there is a blessing for you, trust me.

To add on to the comments:

I have my Sun, Uranus, Neptune, Jupiter all in Sagittarius.I have alwys felt that the descriptions of Sagittarius being a "player" being "player", "commitment-phobic" , "irresponsible" didn't speak to me.

As a result, I went about "down playing" these positions because I awlays felt that what I read was not descriptive of me.

But then I read a book by a wonderful author who was making fun of the Zodiac stereotypes and seemed to colour the Zodiac signs in a more reputable light-based on his personal observations and research.

But then again, I do know a few Sagittarians in my life that seem to "exude"(for lack of a better word) the archetype /stereotypical Sagittarius.

One I know has his Sun, Mercury, Venus ,Neptune and Uranus all in Sag.
He also has Jupiter and Saturn in Libra, but he is a man **** (sorry, there really is no better word to describe this guy). He really does "love em and leave em".

Thing is with him, he continuously attracts the clingy types. I've alwys wondered why that was so.

The other one also has many skeletons in his closet. He is a lot more secretive about his dealings(moon in Capricorn), but he gets up to some nasty too.

He only has his Sun and Uranus in Sag, whilst he is dominated by Capricorn(moon, mercury, venus,Neptune and Jupiter)

He seems more grounded than the other; mostly because of his Capricorn placements. But that is only a front, he is also a freak.

So, I guess it all comes down to just more than being your Sun sign in the end.

Wow, I have Asc, Mercury, Venus and Neptune in Sagittarius and I feel exactly the same way… although my Sun sign is Capricorn, and my Venus at 29 degrees of Sag is trine my Saturn at zero degrees Virgo… I’m very idealistic and romantic like a Sag, but also super careful and selective like a Capricorn. I agree that the stereotype of all Sag’s being players is BS… some of them are. But then again, some of them go completely in the opposite direction and are very moralistic about loyalty etc. (Remember Jupiter rules things like ethics, religion, our morel code, and what we believe in… so Sag’s tend to have a rather opinionated view on things one way or another).

Hi FireWire,

I can very much relate to your nature. My best friend since childhood is a mega Sag and my sister is a Sag rising. I am a Gemini Sun with a moon, merc, mars stellium in my 9th house. The only significant planets I have in Sag are Saturn &Uranus which are trine with my Jupiter.

I also find that love for me begins with a spiritual awakening. I sounds strange to say but I feel like I do not have a say in who I am attracted to. I feel like my spirit guides this, and it guides it to levels which are out of body sanctuaries. I liked what you said about having a strong drive but waiting till the right one comes along. This is just what I mean, I cant develope love, it will just comes when it comes and when it does come, my all is in it.My love has no bounderies or worldly concerns, it is just love as the affection I feel for another when I do. My love with others is on spiritual highs and only the ones I am meant to share it with understand it.

Anyway answering your question, my best friend is a Sag Sun with alot of other Sag in her chart and and she definitly approches love/intimacy the same way. We share the same outlook. She is free-spirited, honest but also affectionate and caring. Her thoughts and heart are open and trusting and I truly love & admire her like a sister. She's the only Sag I know but shes the only person I understand so well.

Thumbs up for Sagittarius'

Really, mega-Sag or not is irrelevant. It's all about what sign Venus is in, the house and what aspects it makes to other planets in the chart.

Sag-heavy people aren't all the same and therefore won't all love the same, anymore than anyone else is all the same and will love the same.

Thanks everyone for the responses, it is great to get perspectives from those who share similar aspects as well as those who know others who do. And I know there are some 'Sags' who fit the stereotype, and I am sure it has a lot to do with specific placements, angles and such. I don't know that I have control over who I am drawn to. "Beauty is that which attracts the soul" (Gibran?) and I feel that way. I just feel it. It is something that just courses through me and I just know. And I don't lose all sense of reason (umm...most of the time), but intensity is my middle name when it comes to that. It doesn't happen often, but it is really the only thing I'll entertain. It probably makes me miss out on a lot of dating opportunities. I don't mind though. And I quoted you violet, specifically, 1.) you like (read: probably LOVE Rumi, 2.) I literally could FEEL exactly what you were saying!

I know they aren't 'all the same' BelligerentPygmy (sounds so weird saying this, btw, lol), I stated explicitly in the post I know the aspects and other things matter more...relatively speaking. I was just curious to know the thoughts of individuals who either have the placements, or know others who do as well as general comments, such as yours. I appreciate the feedback though! And interesting that so many of us feel the same way. Leads me to wonder if we have other placements/angles...etc that are similar.
