I wanna know about Mars in Pisces. All of it... is it like pouring water on the fire? No motivation? How does this individual pursue? Curious to know how it compares to Mars in Scorpio.

I have Mars in Pisces and I am a super achiever and always have been. However, I need down time as well where I can chill and let the ideas / thoughts flow. Mars in Pisces allows me to think outside of the box and "ideas" seem to come from places that are unexpected- for example; when I have a big project or presentation, I think about it as I am falling asleep and then I dream about it or have dream like inspirations.

If I am not challenged enough, I will make something challenging occur such as writing a new handbook or standard operating procedures to be used in my line of work.

I can't say everyone with Mars in Pisces is like I am but I do know that many of us have one thing in common. If we hate our jobs or what we are doing, then it is much harder to get motivated. I am big on doing what I love (although in some cases, making sure that no matter what I do gets the bills paid and creating what I love from it).

I have Mars in the 6th house which may also lend to my passion for work. Some aspects / planets that may mitigate the negative tendancies of my Mars in Pisces placement is that I have a Virgo ACS conjunct Pluto in the 1st house in Virgo, a Sag Sun, Jupiter in the 2nd which trines Mars in Pisces by degree and sextiles my Sun(so I do like things and will work for them) and Venus in Sag (3rd house of communications). My Mars in Pisces is also at the 1' 17" degree mark and Saturn in Taurus (by degree) trines my Sun.

I have a strong drive to succeed by making a difference but also to provide for myself / family.

I would say it definitely does... the person in question has their Mars roughly in the 12th house, but I suppose if it's in Pisces it's at home there and thus would make it ... stronger?

How do you assert yourself? Mars has everything to do with that, right?

I think that Mars plays into some of asserting oneself but also the Ascendant is what we show the world. I am outgoing and tend to make friends easy and put people at ease with my sense of humor. I'm in a position where I work with Soldiers and Families which means I need to be accessible and approachable. My Virgo rising combined with my Sag Sun makes for an interesting combination because I tend to watch and evaluate before I jump into conversations or arguments.

When it comes to asserting myself in the job place, I'm not afraid to speak my mind but I also make sure I have all the facts and can back up what I am defending or proposing. I also know when to sit back and let the big guys (in my case the Brigade Commander) make the decision and go with it.

If you are talking about how to I assert myself in personal or romantic relationships, I tend to take the same approach as at work. I watch, take in the environment and then "make my move". I find that Mars in Pisces provides an intuition in some areas like body language but my Sag Sun may have issues with that whole "confusing love with friendship and friendship with love".

In my marriage, I am not afraid to speak my mind at all and neither is my husband. I am more "snippy" at times (thank you Sag Sun and Aries Moon) but I get over things quickly. I find that putting things on the table and discussing them leads to a far better relationship that trying to bury my head in the sand (which I have tried and it never works and instead I end up blowing up like a volcano).

I do have to also note- I haven't really had the luxury of ever being able to "blend in" or "dissolve into the corner to observe others". Physically, I have always stuck out and while I tend to be on the shy side (at first) I have been mostly in situations where people expected me to be the more outgoing girl that rallied everyone together or felt that I never had problem "meeting people or getting dates". I think because of that, I had to overcome the shyness as a kid but I did choose my initial career as one that was more behind the scenes (diagnostic labratory manager and Sr. Research Associate for a biotech company). It allowed me to talk to people on my own terms but somewhere in my late 20's /early 30's things changed and I embraced being more outgoing. I went from the lab at the biotech company to traveling all over the US meeting up with Ranchers, dairymen and other agriculture entities in order to discuss our product and show them how it works.

In my current position I have to give presentation to the Brigade and Deputy Brigade commander (they are in charge of over 2500 Soldiers) and also to groups of company commanders / first sergeants. At the biotech company I was there for only a few months before I had to address over 500 shareholders about the current status of one of our products. I was scared to death LOL... but the Sag came through with the Virgo wit and I "got er done"

Mars in Pisces in the 12th-

I would think it would make it stronger or the drive for 12 house issues would be more appealing. The motivation would be there for more exploring of the darker side of human nature and they are not afraid to pursue what would scare others. However, depending on the aspects and other planetary placements, it could also lend to an obsession with all things 12th house.

It's iffy 'cause it's a noon chart I'm basing it off of, but his rising is also Pisces. Someone here told me even in noon charts it's a rough but accurate portrayal of where the planets are house-wise. Would Mars in Pisces men be attracted to softer and more feminine girls or do their tastes vary based on their intuition?

I can relate to BearsArcher when it comes to motivation and work - although I remember being guilted into housework whenever I watched Trading Spaces, some years back. I ended up rinsing off dishes, and loading the dishwasher, amongst other things, whilst the show was on (in the kitchen, once I'd shifted myself).

I've really been lacking motivation, and have found that unfortunately, at times, I need my pride to be poked, in order to get moving. I don't usually put that on my Aries sun, because I haven't always needed that - I just needed to be interested/inspired/motivated, as Bears mentioned. My attitude has been really bad this year, and it's partially because I feel stuck (and literally am at times).

You know it's funny you mention a trapped feeling. That is what I feel from the guy with this placement. He has Moon and Venus in Scorpio, Capricorn sun (Sun only adds to the 'trapped feeling' I suppose.) I would guess Mars in Pisces daydream more than actually CARRY OUT their dreams. Not saying they can't of course, 'cause anyone can do anything, but Pisces is such a faint placement for the big ol' strapping planet Mars.

Do you think Mars in Pisces would be psychic, or more empathic?

I have Pisces Mars in the 6th house, too! High Five!

I'm also a workaholic. I'm also looking for new ways to make cash or contribute to society in a meaningful way. Nothing makes me more depressed than feeling like I'm worthless.

I like to think of Pisces Mars as imagination in motion. It's hard to explain, as is the nature of Pisces...

More psychic. NOT more empathetic lol.
Water signs can be sometimes the most heartless people unfortunately.

Anybody can be the most heartless person, I suppose they're going to be more psychic than average and the empathy will vary based on nature/nurture.

Add me to the list of people with Mars in Pisces in the 6th house. Romantically, I don't make a move until I'm absolutely certain the person feels the same way about me, then I'm brazen and chivalrous as hell (Venus in Aries in the 7th)

I carry things out when I can, but I sometimes need a little push.l It all depends on what it is, and how excited I am over it. I'm an Aries Sun, so this rules my Sun.

my bf has Mars in Pisces in the 6th. he is sooooo lazy and not ambitious at all. he is smart, and has his phd, but he wants to just work p/t and paint and just be quiet and read. he is very shy and didn't speak to me for about a month when we first met at work - i had to approach him as a friend and start conversation. i also had to tell him i thought he was attractive, and once i did that a few times - WOW - he started to pursue and pursue. so they can be motivated in romance. i had to be aggressive with him and really show a lot of interest though to get him going. and he stares a lot. his Mars in Pisces (at 4 degrees) makes him shy, quiet, concerned about helping others when they need him, very artistic, very insecure, and emotional over really small things. and he is definitely psychic with me, and probably with others too. this placement also makes him very self-sacrificing; he'll let me 'win' arguments and shift his behaviors just to make sure i'm happy, even if he's not. he's not as manly/assertive as some guys, but very warm in other ways

What's your signs starmoon? I'm an Aries but I identify with Pisces, and like Venus in Pisces people quite well. I like the way your boyfriend sounds. He sounds like this guy I'm into as well. And the staring! Yes, I know what you mean. When they like you it's like your very presence puts them in a trance.

Mars in Pisces can sometimes be a party-pooper, yes..but only when they feel inadequate or insecure in the situation.

I have Mars in Pisces and know a few others who do, too..and we're all basically the same in that respect.

However, I do like to party and my Venus in the 1st , trining my Mars, helps me keep my social graces and charm alive even when my Mars feels threatened.

I do have a very hard time putting my goals into action, though. I have low motivation and am being medicated to help that. I have a hard time following through with things, too.

I am a mars in pisces, 8th house.

I stare a lot too at my partner, i can just sit and watch him, sounds creepy but i think he actually loves it. Too me he's beauty and i wanna sit admiring for as long as i need.

Also, feel i am psychic, intuitive, empathetic, compassionate and sympathtic as r lots of people with heavy water influences.

One of my biggest issues, is energy fluctuations. When a goal is in sight i have an abundance of energy i feel invigorated to haver that focus. When unsure of my path, confused and without a goal i become very drained and depressed and its strange to see how i become> when studying for my degree i was extremely hardworking and focused, very dedicated. I achieved exactly what i set out to achieve. Then, when i don't have a specific goal it is i guess like a fish swimming in different directions.. unfocused and kinda lost. i think we mars in pisceans need a goal, doing something we truly desire to feel motivated and energised

Plus i absolutely need solitude regularly. That might be due to Moon in 12th in Cancer too.

I'm not a party pooper... because I don't go to parties. I spend most of my time on one-on-one dinner dates or discussions.

I'm not much of a "staring" kind of person. I make eye contact when I am speaking to someone or they are speaking to me- and I mean DIRECT eye contact (Pluto conjunct ACS) but I don't stare at my husband or anyone. My husband (Pisces Moon) stares at me. It drives me bonkers and I'll turn to him and say 'What? Is there something on my face or am I doing something weird" He will return with "Can't I stare at my beautiful wife". LOL...

I'm used to it now but it did weird me out in the beginning
