Topic: What sign would have a death grip on the past??

They say cancers obsess on the past, but personally I think that virgos and libras do the same thing! I'm a virgo and I've come to realise I hold on to the past, onto pain, onto memories (bad ones) for wayyy longer than it is healthy.What sign would have issues with letting sleeping dogs lie??

Caps are known to hold a grudge forever  I hold it for a while but not forever...my Mercury in Sag lacks staying power, I suppose. Aries whizzes through. Aries Moon gets over things fast. Cancer Moon....Omg, my mom is an Aqua but her Cancer Moon makes her dwell on the past forever and ever, crying over stuff nobody else recalls IP: Logged |

I'd put down Pisces and Gemini. More so Pisces. This is from private experience. I think Aquarians are more forgiving and will let it go. Possibly Leo.

Taurus! Grudge-Holders of the Universe! I so dislike this part about being Taurus. I can remember little slights *forever*. Try as I may, forgetting those things and letting them pass is so dang hard. *edit* Should say I'm Taurus ASC. I have a lot of Taurus. I hold grudges, but I have such a bad memory that I can't even recall why I'm holding some grudges, lol...I'm a Cap...I have a friend, Cancer, I swear she remembers EVERYTHING that ever happened to her, and still holds on to some things from the past...lucky for her to have a Sag ASC, it would be much worse  ...I've heard Cancer Mercury remembers everything so vividly & many memories have an emotional impact on them, usually it's some bad memory of parents fighting, or something like that, and they hold onto the image for the rest of their lives...it's really sad... I've got Cancer Sun, Merc and Mars, and that last part rings true except I have quite a shite memory... but maybe I've just blocked things out. There are isolated bad memories that I cannot shake that have a strong emotional impact. I rarely hold grudges over small things, but if it's a heavy emotional type thing I can seethe silently for ages. My mother is a Taurus Sun/Merc, Gemini moon, Cap Mars and GOOD LORD does that woman hold a grudge. Over ridiculously petty things too. She's currently giving me the silent treatment and won't even look at me because I made plans that conflicted with hers... but she never told me ahead of time so that such a conflict could be avoided. Oh Gosh, my ex was Cancer rising, Libra Sun conjunct Mars, and Venus in Virgo. All I EVER heard about was his ex. The whole relationship was based around telling me how hard done by he was and how much he hated her....oh, and how much he was 'over her'. Apparently.IP: Logged |

Scorpios, Scorpios, Scorpios. Especially Capricorn/Scorpio combos. And sure, they'll tell you "Yeah we're cool." but you're not cool. I would say that if an event was important enough to affect someone than any sign would have cause to link to the past. Death grip sounds a bit dramatic to me! IP: Logged |

Maybe I am lucky and have never met anyone like this on an in depth level.
The astrology books i have read (quite a lot) seem to link capricorn/cancer with this, more so cancer as capricorn is usually planning ahead.
I have planets in 4th house and 10th house linked to the above two signs and can think about the past a bit but try to avoid dwelling on it and an aquarius ex used to be all about the future!IP: Logged |
