Synastry: I see that "infamous" SN and I'm naive to what it really means. So it reveals a little bit about your past life with this particular person right? Basically the feelings are good initially.

That being said as your charging ahead towards the agenda of your NN for your life, is it safe to assess that any personal planet conjuncting this Node...will feel like a weight?

While it feels rather good and all too familiar, it seems to me that this will repulse you as you grow AWAY from this nodal influence or am I wrong?

The ideal is to have the nodes balanced, so it depends how much emphasis you wanna place on SN contacts..ideally they'd be balanced by NN contacts in the synastry.
Typically the SN person owes something to the planet person, look to planet and house to see what exactly, and look to aspect to that point to see how comfy the process will be. After this process it can feel like a weight to SN but that is not guaranteed.
Yes to SN contacts feeling v.familiar typically on first meeting, v.attractive.
I like having SN people around me. It's not bad, I attract more NN people now tho (!) I am v.much doing my NN by sign and house and I can welcome SN people into my life no problem, but I have to make the decision conscious of how much I will let them influence me. I can easily now tell the difference between the two. Sometimes I am more SN oriented and sometimes more NN so it is more I base it on what I'm in the mood for.

---Has that been your experience?

Thanx Lonake! That was so detailed enough for me to thoroughly understand. Thank you!

My long-distance love has her Pluto conjunct my North Node (LEO), and her Saturn in my Ist house conjunct my Neptune-ASC-Venus-Mercury. I'm a double Skorpion, she is Taurus-Gemini rising, and we share Moon in Taurus (we're both singers and astrologers).

How sweet Those are some great overlays. And how does that Pluto conjunct NN feel between you two?

Northnode and Southnode topics fascinate me.

I have NN in gemini 19 degress. My uncle is a sag with moon in gemini. He is my favorite uncle I feel I have special bond with him that I don't have with any other family member including my parents. He is the family member I get the most along with and I am the family member who gets him the most. His sun conjuncts my southnode and his moon conjuncts my NN. He has been a big influence in my life...my thinking is more similar to his than my own parents. I listen to him and we get eachother.

I will never outgrow him and he will always inspire me because his moon conjuncts my NN but also get with him the feeling of comfort and similarity from his sun in sag conjuncting my SN.

My prom date who since I met felt this sense of familiarity was a gemini with venus in gemini and moon in sag. His venus and sun conjunct my northnode by an orb of less than 1 degree and his moon conjunct my SN but by a large orb of 9 degrees. Him been my prom date felt very fated for both of us.

My mom has moon in gemini but does not aspect my NN. I seem to admire people that have moon in gemini it seesm and they seem to like be back and be intrigued by me in a good way.

I always found north node conjuncting faster planets to be a bigger deal? Pluto moves sooo slow. And so does saturn. Lots of people around your partner's age would have their pluto and saturn conjunct your planets.

I personally think that nodes conjuncting angles to be more important.

I've recently met a guy who has his north node exact conjunct my asc and my north node conjuncting HIS desc.

My south node conjuncts his sun/venus/merc/mars all under 5 degrees. And his south node conjuncts my juno, vertex both by 1 degree.

His juno conjuncts my north node pretty tight too.

I know he's a soulmate definitely.

Referencing a relative was great @ amelia28. You're making me think about my uncle whom I miss so very much. I wish I knew his birth time...He passed when I wasn't into astrology enough many years back.

As far as the outer planets go, I agree with you @ Mintgirl123. Those bad boys hold no real weight in my opinion. As for my point of topic (my ex) My Mars conjuncts his NN...His Mars conjuncts my SN. So I'm slowly piecing together just who has the most "pull" with our charts. Not just with these nodal placements though...

Too sooooon <3 But ya know, I'm sure he'll be part of my future =) hopefully.
I got out of a soulmate relationship last year, where the guy really hurt me, so thinking god felt sorry for me and decided to cut me some slack! HAHA Cos this guy is so much better in every way! For one thing, he's sooo much better looking LOL and is way more physically appealing (leo asc, sun, venus, mars, mercury all conjuncting by like 0-1.5 degrees in 1st house =). And he has his shhh together, which is a nice change! From the unstable mess that was my ex.
