I just wrote about this in another thread so I'll be lazy and just copy & paste it here:

My rising sign is Aquarius which has Saturn as a co-ruler (or traditional ruler) and Saturn and Uranus are sextile in my chart. I feel more connected with the Saturn side of Aqua now that I am older. I like feeling grounded and being responsible. When I was younger I was more Uranian – argumentative, unpredictable, burning bridges left and right. I also have some major squarage – Uranus square Sun, Uranus square Mercury, Uranus square Jupiter (that one is exact!). I think leading up to and right through my Saturn return I felt a change starting when Saturn was going through my 6th. I no longer wanted to be a contrary jerk on purpose, I learned to choose my battles (an overused yet effective saying that seemed so wise coming from my Taurus mentor). I feel like a different person, I am a different person…

It’s not like I am “Debbie Downer” now, I am just now more of a “rebel with a cause” as opposed to “rebel looking out for my own interests and if you accidentally get affected than that is good too”. I mean, I didn’t start random fights with people, I was never like that, but I would get up in arms about things, especially at work, and I actually did get a lot of things changed but I lost a lot of support from friends and associates because of it. Now my Uranus and Saturn are working well together. It was hard but that is how it is supposed to be for an Aqua.

I've always felt more Saturnian then Uranian as an Aquarius.. you know? There are Aquarians that do a bunch of whacky sh!t for the mere sake of it, but I feel I've always been a been more rigid and calculated then that - I do live by principals and not rebellion for rebellions sake.

I've discussed this type of thing on other forums, before. I think there's definitely two different types of Aquarians - those ruled by Uranus, and those ruled by Saturn. I'm definitely a Uranian Aquarius ascendant in terms of personality and temperament; especially since Uranus actually conjuncts my midheaven and trines my ascendant, as well. Saturn is tucked over in the 8th house. So no, I don't usually 'feel' Saturn much.

Lotis, wonderful question.

Here's my case. I will analyze some but I'd like your questions if I miss something.

I'm an Aqua rising, so Uranus is my chart ruler and ruler of the 1st.

I have Mars in Aqua conj ASC. I stand out in a crowd even when I would rather not. Pursuing intellectual interests is very appealing to me (I have a PhD in my field). Independence is my middle name. Sort of a Maverick in that people don't quite get me or my ideas most of the times. Emotionally I hate this (I have Merc in the 10th communication is paramount for me and when it breaks down I just suffer, Sat/Moon in the 3rd too).

My Uranus is in the 8th house in Libra (8th house cusp is in Virgo). I have Jup, Uranus and Pluto in the 8th and it's no wonder I enjoy astrology, tarot, and esoteric studies in general. I'm also a psychologist and an analyst (Pluto in Virgo in the 8th).

My Saturn is in the 3rd house in Taurus (cusp is in 0 Taurus). I explained on another thread that Saturn in Taurus has been giving me patience and persistence. I can't emphasize these two traits well enough. For success, you don't only need patience, you need to keep going even against all odds. That's me to a 't'.

Did I leave something out?

Aquarius is on the cups of my 3rd house as well.

Uranus in Scorpio in 10th house, under a degree off 11th house cusp (astrology?)

Saturn in Cancer in 8th house definitely makes sense as well, as I like to dig deep in terms of my interests and what I am thhinking about.

Uranus is also conjunct my MC and is in Scorpio so I definitely feel the influence –I had real issues with authority. Saturn is in Virgo so now I have more of an organized approach to things, and I see how I can be “of service” and how change (powerful Scorpionic transformations) can happen that way instead of being different just to be different.

I am Aqua sun and venus... I really identify with the idea that when I was younger I was really out of control, messy, sorta scatterbrained, shopped for nonsense, saved everything..."hoarder" if you will. As I've gotten older I crave organization...almost to an OCD level. I think the messiness was causing anxiety? Now, whether in my finances, my house, relationships, work - everything has to be neat & tidy & streamlined. I have no tolerance for messes, dirt, complications in my life. I also don't have the urge to fight battlers for no reason...just for the sake of being contrary. When I was young, everyone told me to be an attorney b/c I loved to fight just for the sake of winning...now I'm a lot more unbiased, I like to see both sides of an argument. I'll always try to take the underdog side, but I will respect the opposite position. I feel like I'm a different person entirely... like a mature aqua!

And yes I’d like to hear about house cusp’s as well as planet’s in Aquarius…

Well I was born in that outer planet stellium in Capricorn, so my Neptune/Saturn/Uranus is all Cap (in the 4th house), although my Saturn is in a grand earth trine with my Sun (Taurus) and my Ascendant.

Aquarius is on the cusp of the 5th house for me - my Moon conjunct my north node there, hence always striving for a path rather then just recklessly going about things in life?
