Topic: I don't feel Uranian, does Uranus truly rule Aquarius? I feel Saturns influence more

I do. In terms of my personality.
I have Sun, mercury, Saturn, ASC and other asteroids in Aquarius.Saturn mercury are all in first house. Saturn conjuncts my ASC, sun conjuncts my mercury. ive felt Saturn my entire life especially my child hood. I never truly believed The uranian influence because I just never felt it.. the erratic behavior? Never felt it. The rebellion? you bet! The unconventional behavior and ideals yes, to an extent. I've felt more Saturn influence though. The fact that I thrive on order, my personality is very stern, yet childlike deep inside I'm a child, but most of my life I was told I was "too serious" I almost rarely fit in with m peers growing up because I was told i was too mature for my age so relating to them was awfully difficult. The depression, the seriousness, especially in terms of my personality I always felt like I was withholding something. Like I cannot truly be myself. Even till this day I still have trouble in terms of my personality. Im attempting to "fix" or "expand" my personality. Can someone explain why Astrologers associate Uranus with Aquarius? Because all my life I've felt more Saturn influence than Uranus. I mean sure, when I was little I never listened to anyone, did my own thing, made my own rules I wasn't a trouble maker but I was extremely mischievous, and knew how to get away with a lot. But I've felt more Saturn influenced, the stubbornness, Rigidness, coldness at times, depression, being too mature than my peers, all of it. I also grew up very introverted because I couldn't always relate to my friends, socializing was a very simple thing for me, but my personality was indefinitely held back. any ideas? Do any Aquarians think Saturn has more influence? IP: Logged |

You have Saturn conjunct the ASC. It's going to modify it by toning down the Uranian/Aquarius-ness, as Saturn restricts and makes things more serious. I have Uranus conjunct a Sag ASC, which means I'm not a typical Sag rising by any stretch of the imagination. I definitely feel Uranus more than my chart ruler, Jupiter. It's all about aspects in your case. I don't have your chart, but I suspect if Saturn wasn't aspecting your ASC in such a way, it might be easier to recognize Uranus' influence.IP: Logged |

That's cos you have saturn aspecting your sun and is in your first house lol. That's why you feel saturny rather than uranian. But I'm sure that part influences your personality in some ways too.IP: Logged |

I once read that January Aquarians are more Saturnian, and February Aquarians more Uranian.I am a feb aquarian, and I definitely relate to Uranus, and very little, if at all, to Saturn. IP: Logged |

You have saturn conjunct ascendent and isn't your ascendent capricorn bc if it is that means your chart ruler is Saturn and would explain why you feel a bit more saturnic than uranian.  .IP: Logged |

I don't agree at all that ALL Aquarians are ruled by Saturn, or that ALL Aquarians are ruled by Uranus.Sure, I think that both planets are linked to Aquarius, but that there's two types of Aquarians - the Saturnian ones, and the Uranian ones, and obviously it's usually really easy to tell them apart. I'm an Aquarius Ascendant and south node, with Uranus conjunct the MC. I'm definitely more Uranian. IP: Logged | |
