Oh my, I love the name of the topic already!I joke about it as a way to see how the other person react. As for me, I'm Libra/Scorp, so I take love and partnership very seriously. I test the waters and yes, I do joke about it to see other people's reactions. Deep down, I'm dead serious. ------------------

Only immature people joke about marriage.Seems like sth a gemini would do. I'm veryy heavy in cardinal placements and I take marriage very seriously. But I have in the past talked about it (cos was proposed to by like two ppl lol), but other times it was veryy obviously a joke. I just don't like it when some people talk about it really seriously, when inside their heads they aren't serious about it at all and know they don't want to commit. I did it as a joke, thinking I'd be rejected, just to amuse myself really. They wanted to date me! hahaha You know...the stereotype of men hating marriage, women being a ball and chain, I thought 'guaranteed laugh.'Venus in Capricorn / Mars in Libra

I'm a cardinal sign and mock marriage all the time but chalk it up to my Moon/Juno in Aqua. IMO it's an obsolete institution that ends up wasting courts' time when so many couples decide to renege on the so-called vows they made in front of God/family/friends. Society should just scrap it. Then gays/lesbians can quit screaming about the unfairness too. And then we can all focus on something that will be beneficial to society, such as relaxing adoption criteria so that more orphans can have chances to find homes.It's ridiculous how much time money and energy is wasted on the wedding industry not to mention divorces... P.S. I broke out of a decade-long relationship because he wanted to get married and have kids. I'd rather stay unmarried and adopt (or try to).

I have 4 Cardinal planets and I actually think that a wedding is a waste of money. The divorce rate is high these days and I don't trust the institution of Marriage. Maybe it's my sun uranus opposition talking.......commitment-o-phobic. Uranus in Libra has a whole different slant on relationships in general.IP: Logged |
