Just curious: what is your sense of humor like? (The recent "joking about marriage thread" led me think about this). What TV shows, real-life situations, movies, comedians, books, etc. do you find funny? How do you think that your chart reflects this?IP: Logged |

I remember seeing a thread here pointing to Jupiter as an indicator of humor and I can see truth in that. I have Jupiter in Leo and find Leo men effortlessly funny. Even when they're being serious. I bust up laughing at Governor Schwarzenegger regardless of which role he's playing.Someone I know who has Jupiter in Virgo likes a sharp, clean, healthy sense of humor. I'm a Sun sign Cap, Virgo rising, Aqua Moon, Mercury in Sagittarius, Scorp Venus, and can't resist any chance at a pun/double entendre. And I love dirty jokes in appropriate situations. IP: Logged |

I have a very dark sense of humor. I like prank shows, but find them boring at the moment. Comedies are great too. I sometimes go down and watch the local Stand Up Comedians where I live and used to perform stand up.Laughter and a sense of humor is very important in life. IP: Logged |

As for television, I love anything dry, witty, awkward. I especially love shows like Community, 30 Rock, The Office, Parks and Recreation because even though they seem a little surreal are just so much like real life – full of awkward people and situations that end up becoming hilarious. They are just an exaggeration of that. I tend to like Earth sign sarcasm, even though I am a Leo/Libra/Aquarius with Jupiter in Leo. I think that Tina Fey (Taurus) and Amy Poehler (Virgo) are the funniest women ever. As for stand-up, I like observational humor, sometimes with a political edge. Chris Rock (Aquarius), Bill Maher (Aquarius) and Louis CK (Virgo) are my absolute favorites, I have seen Chris Rock live twice and the other two only once. I used to really love Greg Giraldo (Sagittarius – RIP), he was so smart and funny. I am actually a huge comedy fan and I love to laugh (Jupiter in Leo, this is where that comes in). I love Pee-Wee Herman and I saw his show on Broadway last year (I made sure I was in the 2nd row, it was amazing!). “The Kids in the Hall” was one of my favorite shows and I saw the live a couple of years ago and it was amazing. I love SNL!!! I have yet to go to a taping though (I have a huge crush on Seth Meyers – Capricorn). I actually judge actors by how well they do on SNL! I love Lonely Island music too. Andy Samberg (Leo) is great. I have actually seen a lot of comedians live because there is a comedy club not too far from where I live. I've seen Jim Breuer, Adele Givens, Shawn Wayans, Joe Torry, Dane Cook (before he was selling out stadiums), there are more that I am forgetting… I like raunchy stuff too. Eddie Murphy (Aries) “Raw” and “Delirious” are amazing, as is Martin Lawrence (Aries) “You So Crazy” and I used to be a big Howard Stern (Capricorn) Fan when I was younger. Nothing really shocks me of offends me comedy-wise. Speaking of which, I love South Park! Judd Apatow movies are amazing. I love that whole crew as well – Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Jason Segel – they all remind me of the guys I used to hang out with in high school! So yeah, I pretty much like everything. But to narrow it down, I have a Chris Rock and Louis CK Ticketmaster alert. Moon and Uranus (chart ruler) are in my Libra ruled 9th house, Sagittarius rules my 11th and Jupiter is in Leo in the 7th. I like dry humour and more sarcastic than slapstick. OP YOU HAVE A LIBRA MERCURY TOO lol. Yeah British humour is preferable to like... Borat humour. Sataric films are better than like toilet humour ones. More subtle, less contrived and out there.Comedies I found funny-Everybody loves raymond (not exactly dark or dry but still hilarious nevertheless lol), big bang theory can be funny too. There's something about Mary cracked me up.
