I get a chuckle out of hearing people's experiences with Sag, because our attitudes and personalities are so similar to that of horses. There are big stoopid goofy horses who you can always trust a child to ride, b!tchy full-of-their-self horses who will throw you off the moment they notice you aren't paying attention, competitive horses who nip at their groomers just cause they are moody, and deep thoughtful horses who know how to create a symbiotic bond with their rider. Sometimes it is easy to forget these personalities live inside massive hunks of big dumb lumbering muscle. Beauty for a horse, is the ability to take a massive form and make it delicate and graceful. Sometimes that big form ends up stepping on people's toes, kicking, and drooling while it eats.
I so love horses! FWIW, I love all animals. (What I hate are flies! Blergh...)

Wow, just goes to show the surprise you can get not only from different birthcharts of a Sag, but if they meet the right partner in synastry as well. It may not be so "common" to see their Sun sign planted in commitment, but it IS possible when the right person comes along As for the religious beliefs, uhhh...yeah! Very dogmatic ppl have plenty Jupiter and 9H aspects going on, and the beliefs hold firm regardless of what it is specifically. Even if they don't have a belief system, its pretty much the same. You can not persuade them to believe anything, unless they seek to learn themselves.
This is to both you and Frankie! What I've perceived about Sags is that they are similar to Scorpios in their extremities. They're either for or against something. For example, he was very Christian when in high school and attended church/chapel regularly, and tried converting my agnostic Scorpio best friend. The his friend committed suicide and he went the other way, completely dismissing his beliefs and hasn't looked back. So in my opinion yes they're stubborn about their beliefs but that doesn't mean those beliefs NEVER change. It's just however they feel at the time. He's someone I'd love to talk to but I don't think our energies quite match up. I have my own life lessons to learn and he's, like, a superstar. As for the Leo-ex, yes. They met in high school and were each other's first loves, first everythings. He'd been unhappy in the relationship for about 6 months (but whatever in my own mind, I extend that to meaning a year) because the Leo had grown very demanding and had no goals. She came from a lot of money and is basically set for life so all she wanted was to marry the Sagittarius and have babies. She would get mad when he had homework and did that over spending time with her, even though he devoted the rest of his time to her anyway. Oh, and she said I'd be a great a model but corrected herself to mean "a lipstick model". *grumbles*.... Anywho, one night he was a little tipsy coming home from the bar, and held hands with this equally superstar Capricorn girl in his group of friends, and that was it. And that's how Sags are, I think. They ALWAYS listen to their gut which isn't something their counterpart, Geminis, do. It rocks the boat at times obviously but he's quite happy now so it's not like it lead him astray. Also, he has Venus in Capricorn so that seems to play a large influence in how he handles relationships and why the one with the Leo lasted so long. IP: Logged |

Hannarama, the Sag Venus Cap finally shined with his Cappy gal. Which on a minor scale is what the Venus sign is about (What kind of partner a guys drawn to) although of course the whole chart solidifies a bond. IP: Logged |

quote: Originally posted by Xiiro: I am a Sag guy and all but one of my long term relationships have been with Aquarians. I think the pair have the potential to get along well. Something Sag shares with Aquarius is the desire to explore ideas and play with the imagination. All of the crazy crap that runs through your head can be shared with the right Sagittarius, chances are we will respond with something equally odd. By the end of the evening, both parties will have a well developed understanding of what the world will be like when Platypuses evolve into a bipedal race. Aquarius inspires Sag to be creative with their endless brilliance, and Sag shows Aquarius how to expand on their ideas. Being fixed, Aquarius can get stuck in habitual patterns and can forget to change things up until lightning strikes. Sag can broaden Aquarius options and open doors to new experiences. In exchange Aquarius often inspires Sag to actualize their ideas. Part of the reason we love Aquarians is because we are used to people patting us on the head and saying, "That's great, but (enter excuse here)" when we press their adventure button. Aquarius often says, "That's great, I'll get my coat". There are a couple things to watch out for with Sagittarius; the number one thing being communication. Sag can get a bit overwhelmed with Aquarius. We see them as shimmering stars, inspiring our eyes to the heavens. If you do not communicate, your Sag can take you places which challenge your comfort. It is important to grab moments of reality among the excitement, because if left unchecked, the psychotic comet barreling toward utopia can result in misunderstandings about the Aquarian's nature. Sag expects you will be as honest with them as they are with you, and because these signs create such a euphoria for each other, both parties can end up looking back at issues which didn't seem to exist until they piled up. Sag is also more sexually charged than Aquarius, but this never seemed to cause issues in my previous relationships. The right Sag can channel their sexuality into mental energy and turn Aquarius on intellectually (which results in Aquarius turning into a squishy love zombie). This is another reason it is important to have "reality time", otherwise the relationship becomes based on how the other person makes you feel as opposed to who the other person actually is. Keep in mind that Sag is a mutable sign, so the archetype is more about resolution than retention. In this way Aquarius and Sag can clash a bit. If you hold on to an experience or constantly run through a scenario in your head and end up pi$$ed about it, Sag may have a hard time understanding. This is especially true because often Aquarius is projecting a forward driven attitude and Sag can forget there is a lot going on in that multi-dimensional head of yours. The right Sag will do anything in their power to help resolve any toe they have stepped on (it's just going to happen cause Sag is a spaz), it is important though to look at the full scenario before blaming the Sag for something which may have gained momentum in your head. I say this because a wounded Sag will explain to you all the reasons you are wrong, and that scenario becomes ugly fast. I was fortunate to have dated Aquarians with Uranus in Scorpio, so there was a rich depth to their characters. If you find a Sag with good synastry, keep him. Some of the best years of my life were spend with Aquarians. =)
I know this is old but imo it's hilarious and worth repeating here. And an first-hand insight into Aqua/Sag.

I can relate. My good friend of many years is Aqua. And our ideas are crazy! There is another guy that I thought I would hit it off with. But he was so roundabout with his intentions. So I left it. One day I finally got to ask him "what gives?" And he admitted that he was "scared" I was going to break his heart. Ooookay... Anyhwo, he is also Aqua Sun. Sag is fine as a partner. I think they are awesome. But there must be intellectual compatibility added. I have not dated one in a while...I think I as Sag Sun alone am enough IP: Logged | |
