But I'm not...I have so much Gemini/Libra influences, yet I feel that my writing talents (if I had any - I was in high school after all) have slipped right through my fingers. I have all the makings of a good writer, yet it just doesn't seem to be manifesting in my life... presently. I use the whole house system, btw. I have: Gemini Mercury conj Venus in the 9th Libra Moon in the 2nd, Libra Rising MC ruler is Libra Moon Chart ruler is Gemini Venus in the 9th 9th House ruler is Gemini Mercury (which is in the 9th) 5th House ruler is Sag Uranus (in the 3rd) Uranus conj Saturn in the 3rd Pisces Mars in the 6th (not sure if that accounts for anything) Even my progressions point to a literary/publishing career: Chart ruler is now Scorpio Pluto in the 1st Cancer Mercury trine Scorpio Pluto Cancer Mercury in the 9th MC is now Leo MC ruler is Cancer Sun in the 9th 9th House ruler is Virgo Moon in the 11th 11th House ruler is Mercury 5th House ruler is now Cap Neptune in the 3rd 3rd House ruler is Sag Saturn in the 2nd What do you guys think? I also use the whole sign system and I too have felt like my own writing abilities have gone away.
However, I feel more inspiration starting to trickle back in. It's not pouring out yet, but I feel that I have had to go through some rough things first in order to start regaining my abilities. I kind of have started to see it as having an accident and having to go through rehabilitation. In my case, I've been unable to really write much since 2006. From 2006-2010/one situation that carried over into 2011, I went through a lot of really rough stuff (mostly in 2006-2008 and then again from October of 2010-onward). However, this year has been very good for me (for which I am grateful) and I am hoping that things are going to keep getting better. This year, I found a job, got a raise, started going to this church group that has made me feel so much more spiritually and socially connected, and have worked hard on resolving a situation that happened in late 2010. I don't know if things will be the same for you, but for me at least, I'm feeling more inspired as I "unclutter" my life and as I am learning more and more about relationships, the nuances and subtleties and complexity of life, and as I'm starting to feel more confident and secure (have a long way to go on that, but I've made progress). So, perhaps you are going through your "rehabilitation experience" right now and perhaps as you grow and evolve, you will find inspiration coming back to you. I sincerely wish you the best and, if you feel OK about it, keep us posted! ------------------ *I use the whole sign system* Personal Planets: Sun, Mercury: Libra Venus: Scorpio Moon: Cancer Mars: Capricorn See my profile for my complete chart. I was just gonna say that there's not exactly an age limit on writing lmao. IP: Logged |

Writers write, those who are not - do not. I get sick of hearing the word "should". If you want to write then write, journal, articles, poetry, it really doesn't matter. The one thing I do know is that if you don't make a start - it's never going to happen. Aspects aside - it takes action. IP: Logged |

Sigh. I never said I don't take action. I write everyday. I'm a journalist and use to work at a digital media firm. I also worked as a publicist. I wrote pitches all the time. quote: I have all the makings of a good writer, yet it just doesn't seem to be manifesting in my life... presently.
The powers the universe has given to me... the gift of communication and expression... is gone. No matter how hard I try, how much I blog, how much I practice, something is not quite right... Maybe I need to look at transits to my Moon and Mercury even closer... Although, last time I checked everything was fine. At this point in my life, my gift should have manifested into a mastered skill and passion. Yet, as the years have gone by, even though journalism school, the gift has faded in meaning and importance. I feel that "energy" is fading... in my consciousness and subconsciousness... through no fault of my own. Something is numbing it... I never said that there's an age limit. I'm not stupid or lazy. You guys respond as if I said I haven't been writing my whole life. I simply stated that "I should have been a writer (according to my chart), but as time goes by that "path" or gift is being less and less true. But perhaps this is a sign. Either you guys don't know how to read between the lines, or I don't know how to express myself in a coherent fashion. I AM A "WRITER" BY OCCUPATION ALREADY, HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS NOW. But by spirit? I feel that it's not so much anymore... IP: Logged |

I'm not sure what it is. Lack of inspiration? Lack of practice? It doesn't seem so. It's definitely not writer's block. I still write all the time, just... the vigor... the appetite is gone. Perhaps I am going through a rehabilitation period. It's as if Mercury said, "SEE YA! WOULDN'T WANNA BE YA! I'M GOING TO DISNEY LAND!" I'm noticed from the time I turn 17 to now, my interests in writing have shifted to the arts, and perhaps that's where I should be. Growing up, I always wanted to be a writer, and so I became that... in every fashion society allows. The gift AND spirit have slowly faded over the years. It felt so strange to me because I wanted to be a writer my whole life, and my chart indicated so... but that creative ethos that drove me before has left the building. Who knows. Maybe I'm just being silly. IP: Logged |

Since it is something you have already done/are already proficient at, I would think that a Neptune transit would affect inspiration and a Saturn transit would affect discipline. Maybe something is going on with one or both of these… IP: Logged | |
