There's a big world out there. I can stare at photos of the places many ppl travel to and think "Wow, the sites are gorgeous and it all looks so intriguing"...But, nothing in me wants to travel, especially not alone. I have a fear of going a great distance from home. I will add there's a fear of flying, as well as a fear of large bodies of water (cruises are out of the question) Anyone have insight of aspects that may shine a light on travel apprehension?! Houses, aspects to houses, signs within houses...the whole sha-bang... IP: Logged |

Saturn in the 9th (long distance travel, heights), probably? I know one Pluto in the 9th who is scared of flying. He also seems to fear religion. My sister has Saturn in the 3rd. She's scared to walk to even a different part of the house (due to past trauma). IP: Logged |

when i was a kid i loved airplanes, used to cruise the aisle socialize with the passengers never gave a thought to the dangers..last year when i flew to turkey i thought it would be easy since im so used to it and all.. WRONG! i went on one of those small charter planes, the whole trip was just like 45minutes but it was the longest 45minutes of my life i was soo scared the plane was shaking the whole time and i was griping my seat!! im blaming all those Nat Geo shows, air crash investigations and stuff.. never again x_x i love traveling, this year i have my hopes up for visiting Rhodes *fingers crossed* only im getting on those big planes even if it costs extra $$$$

My best male friend is a Sag, with SN in the 3rd and NN in the 9th, and he has the same problem. Short trips are Gemini/3rd and long ones are Sag/9th. Capriquarius is right, a malefic in the 9th could bring this fear of traveling. IP: Logged |

Once upon a time, I had no desire to travel from home - maybe to visit friends and relatives in the next province.Back in 2008, my partner invited me to go along with him to his home province which is 5000 KMs away. I was so very nervous about traveling far away from home. I was fearful and very worried. I thought what happens if a crisis erupted or something not so good happened when I was away - away from the comforts of my home, away from my family and friends, away from all of what is familiar to me. I tell you what, I am so happy that I did go on the trip because I saw the neatest and most beautiful things on my maritime visit. I remember the visit so fondly and I still miss my time out there. There is another world to discover when you travel and overcome your fears. Sitting on the rocks at Peggy's cove looking out at the Atlantic ocean. Visiting the Grave of the Titanic victims and coming across J Dawson's tombstone. Driving the Confederation bridge and discovering just how beautiful and clean PEI is. Walking on the shore of the St Lawerence seaway and seeing the red sands of PEI. To visit the birth place of Canada. It is the places that hold a lot of history and culture, I found intriguing. The places that I have long heard about in school and saw on the news. To discover more history about the places I visited. I learned about Halifax's history of their big explosion and the shipwrecks around the maritimes. Seeing artifacts from the Titanic. I am planning a trip for next year - driving across Canada and seeing my country up close and personal. I'm excited to learn that our route will be going past the area where Terry Fox has to stop his walk. I;ll be driving past the area where the Edmund Fitzgerald went down - I love that song, but I will always remember the fallen. We will be going through Ottawa and I'll get to see the Parliament buildings. I would like to stop by Hudson Quebec to the resting place of Jack Layton - such a tragic loss. Maybe, I'll get to walk the old cobblestone walks in Montreal and have one of those Montreal smoked meat sandwiches......maybe eat some poutine as well. I discovered that a soul seems to miss out on so much, not to travel and overcoming your fears is so much worth it! You'll have memories to cherish for a life time. I too have a fear of flying and will have some anxiety about being so high up in the sky. I usually have to medicate myself. I love and prefer to have my feet fully planted on the ground. Flying back from my trip, was on an October evening and I found it exciting to pass over Canadian cities and discover which city was what. That was a fun game of watch the upcoming city. Just saying though. You know what was really neat was doing up my travel chart and just seeing and feeling the changes. I went from a Gem Rising to a Cancer rising with the moon right on the ascendent. My 12th house mercury fell in the 10th, along with my sun and chiron. It was very easy to show my sensitive side and be caring. I was able to express myself without any 12th house stuff coming up.....I loved experiencing my planets in different houses! Saturn in the 9th sounds fitting. I have Saturn ruling my 9th house..... You've given me something to go on...As soon as I can sit still and breakdown these aspects, I hope to draw the simple conclusion Makes sense to me! IP: Logged |

RegardesPlatero, I so wish I had that zeal to travel. Sounds so free and exciting. Idk wth I fail to be so enthusiastic but I plan to find out once I have the chance. But you're right, there can be some methods to use to aid in the ease of traveling. I see ppl I'm close to pay the journey no mind, its all about the destination! Cynnared, woohoo to medication! Something will suffice should I finally feel inclined to travel a long distance. I get you loud and clear. Its bizarre to be so timid, especially when I have great survival instincts in whatever setting I'm planted in. Home isn't THAT precious to be so attached to it... IP: Logged |

I will bump your thread in PR and try to see why you are so afraid. Maybe, we have similar things.------------------ Want a peek in to my journal? http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Man, I'd spend all my money (if I had money, that is) on traveling the world! ...Must be a dominant Jupiter thing?...And it rules my 9th house too, where I have Neptune, also Uranus on the cusp of the 9th...Never traveled by plane, but I'd love to...IP: Logged |
