Hello
Does having capricorn in my 7th house mean I should look for a capricorn partner? Or does that mean I should look for someone who also has capricorn in 7th? Thanks

What do you mean when you say you have Capricorn in the 7th? Capricorn could be ruling your 7th, or you could have Saturn in your 7th. I'm not sure but there might be a difference. (ETA: Or Saturn IN Capricorn IN your 7th)

If Capricorn is ruling your 7th, then it makes it your Descendant. I've heard it means this is your true nature, but I've also heard that isn't true and that having a Cappy DSC means you'd get along best with Capricorns (in general, romantically depends on other factors.)

If you have Saturn in your 7th it means you take your relationships very seriously, you also take threats very seriously as well (7th is also the house of open enemies/how you act towards threats, people you don't get along with). I have Saturn in Capricorn in the 7th house ruled by Sagittarius which means I probably won't marry 'til I'm around 28 or 30. It also means I'm pickier about my partners (there's more that goes to it but I'm cutting to the chase) and relationships are part of my karma in this lifetime.
