I feel like it holds a lot of power that I have yet to tap into. I was wondering if having Mars in the 12th alone would cause someone to unknowingly give off a promiscuous vibe, or it had to be in a certain sign/aspect for that? Do you think having Mars in Gemini in the 12th house specifically gives someone the ability to tap into other's subconscious'? I feel like it's really easy to know what guys are thinking of me even if I'm just helping them in customer service or something. I listed all the aspects to my Mars, here. When people are having transiting Mars conjunct their ascendant, they attract more attention than usual because they're more outgoing and give off an energetic vibe. This is especially strong in you because Mars is your ruling planet too, AND it's right at home on the Ascendant. However, this could also be why people say you act defensively (or whatever it was they said). It's just too much Mars/Aries energy you project without even intending to. Good thing you can learn to soften/mitigate it with Mars sextile Venus. I think of this as the Scarlett O'Hara aspect. She had control (sextile) over her attractiveness to men. She attracted them when she wanted them to notice her and the rest of the time it was "off". I thought everything I attract on an every day basis had to do with the ASC. The on/off thing is definitely true and to be honest the attention (well, not attention it's more like the LUST) I feel/get from older men is so overwhelming and uncomfortable for me that that aspect is "off" much of the time. How do quincunxs operate? However, I acknowledge the 12th house is about "issues" but I've also heard it's the house of blindspots. What other people see in us but we don't see in ourselves. And I wondered if people with Mars in the 12th meant they were less able to read when people were flirting with them? Or would that have to do with Neptune? And now that I remember it I wonder if this is why I had a fascination with reading obituaries (death, Piscean) when I was 4-years-old :P IP: Logged

Cal Registered: Dec 2010	posted December 01, 2011 10:59 PM Signs that are 150 degrees from each other (quincunx) seem to want the same thing but define it in different terms and work in different modes, so it's like they're both screaming to be heard. For example if you have Mars in Gemini and Pluto in Scorpio.... They both agree that they want to know. What they don't realize about each other is that Gemini wants to know everything but Scorpio wants to go deeper and know everything about something. They end up drowning each other out because each tries to be the stronger one. Other signs in quincunx: Virgo and Aquarius: Both want improvement, both want to be of help, but Virgo does it one by one while Aquarius wants to create a new and improved system that'll benefit all. Leo and Capricorn: Both want to lead, but Leo wants to be the figurehead while Capricorn wants to be the power behind the throne. Rule by divine right versus rule by delegated authority. They both want the same thing but define it differently and go about achieving it in different ways. In short, it's a stimulating aspect. Edit: Sorry, had to pause for a minute. I'm actually having a Mars transit thru my 12th. But it has been influencing my sleep patterns more than anything else (insomnia). But I think you have something there, about Mars in that house making you more receptive to sexual vibes. Like if you've been having a hankering for cake but no time to indulge in it and it's in the back of your mind, and your coworker likes baking, subconsciously you might be looking for clues that she brought cake today?
