i took a look at my progressed chart for the first time.
i just realized i have a saturn conjunct saturn aspect. both the natal and progressed saturn are retrograde
this could explain a lot.

my question is
how similar do you think the staurn return in your transit? chart and your progressed chart are

Saturn progress really slow... So its not really a return its just moved a few degrees..

Im 39 years old, my saturn has only moved 2 degrees.. I went back 10 years ago and it was 1 degree.

What you want to look at is moon aspects first, the moon progresses faster..

Then look at aspects from Sun,Ven,Mars,Merc

I agree with Lioness, Saturn isn't going to travel very far.
What you can watch for, tho, is if you have it Rx natally and it turns direct by progression, or vice versa.
