so there seems to be an agreement that the sesquiuadrate is the weakest one....do u think it's so weak that it should not be used, or?? just how weak is it? IP: Logged |

It's just so minor,we practically don't use it. I could see its use in Sun/Venus aspects, other than that, not really. I use major aspects + quincunx. Major being hard: conj, oppo,sq and easy: trine, sextile.edited: Just realised I had semiquadrat in mind while posting this. So,above mentioned doesn't apply. IP: Logged |

This is what I thought too, that the first couple should be reversed. The last ones, I have no clue and I've wondered about that myself. IP: Logged |

square - opposition- semisquare - sesisquare - quinkunxI like to be different. EDIT: I would either ignore both- semisquare, sesisquare- or neither. They play a huge role in cosmobiology / Uranian astrology / midpoints; they are 8th harmonic aspects and relate to the 4th harmonic aspects (square and opposition), and might be like a weaker form of these. I am not COMPLETELY sure about them though.
The quinkunx is a totally different animal. IP: Logged |
