@Reg
I don't really get the moodiness. He's been in this funk for a whole entire week. last time I spoke to him he sounded depressed he says it's work. Ok I did semi threaten to leave him... but I apologized. He really upset me, but for someone that continuously begs me not to ever leave him he acts like he wants me gone. I just don't get cancers at all.... my cancer sun friend was like this a little mostly with the random moodiness..

I tried calling him to cheer him up and his phone is off. He sounds depressed as much as I want him out of his funk how long do you guys typically stay this way? This push and pull thing.... very trying...

How old is he? When I was younger I would pull **** like that -- acting all mopey and depressed-like. I just wanted attention and to feel loved. I grew out of it thankfully, because it's so not cute. Nowadays my moodiness is usually reserved for being cranky when I'm hungry or just woke up. If I'm in a mood because I'm stressed or because of something someone did, I just need to be left alone for a bit. I don't usually stay in a funk for very long, but I'm a Sag rising so I don't like to dwell on the negative for too long.

Hmm I would just give him space. As a Cancer and a girl dating a Cancer male, my best advice is to let him retreat to his shell. We get the reputation of being family oriented and clingy, but we're still crabs - hermits with our own naturally built shelter. We surprisingly good at disappearing, and even better at dissociating ourselves when its needed. Just let him get his **** together and he'll be back to normal faster than you think. In fact, he might just act happy one day like nothing happened. That's how we roll. "Bad mood? What bad mood?" *sideways scuttle*

Both my parents are cancers, so I've grown up with them getting moody and then having to give them time to recover.

As per time I whould give at least an evening or the next day.

Trust me get up the next day and its as if nothing happend.

On a side note, thats one of the reasons why Cancers and Aquarian couples exist.

Its the fact that they both have times and moods where they want to be alone.

Surprisingly Aqua and cancer are not compatible. But I think its because I have Pisces moon and venus that makes sense with the cancer moon venus and mercury.
He has done something like this before, not to this extent. But I unintentionally gave him space, came crawling back.

I do think Cancer and Aqua can relate on a lot to be honest.

It varies but they do snap out of it.
