I'm a Capricorn Sun and I have Saturn Retrograde(Gemini) in my eighth house. And It feels like harsh fate given when it comes to love. None of my relationships have been fulfilling emotionally or sexually. I'm 38 and I'm so lonely. I guess it's true from what I have read concerning this matter that I have problems with intimacy in all relationships. I hate it. Wondering if there are any Knowflakes who have the same placement? An if so how have you overcome this fear that tends to keep others out? IP: Logged |

I have the same placement, but it's not that I have intimacy issues or keep people out, not at all. I'm just really careful who I get mixed up with, which I honestly think is more of a good thing than a negative one.IP: Logged |

Is it an angle ruler? If it is, it might be even more pressing for you. I'd love to see the chart.IP: Logged |

Hi Lucky - Saturn rules the 4th in your chart/ the IC. Saturn gets a lot of stressful aspects too. Connecting in a conventional way probably doesn't suit you. We're the same age, btw, your Saturn is only a few degrees from mine. My guess is you're very hard on yourself, your chart seems like it is. IC Saturn can pinpoint that you feel older than you are as well, and maybe felt that way for a long time. There's a kind of lone wolf thing going on with that.IP: Logged |

@MyVirgoMask Yes wise in some area's and I tend to be a bit hard on myself, fear once again. @Capriquarius That's interesting. And I'm trying it been very hard lately. I hope to find that person soon. So you say Saturn is currently transiting in Libra? Guys my astrology understanding is self taught and it's very limited. Although I know that my sun is ruled by Saturn, which is what I assume @MyVirgoMask is referring to as the IC in the 4th. I assume that because my Saturn in Gemini was being interpreted in my eight house which was in retrograde. Is where I drew my conclusion as to having a fear of intimacy (which I do) Please help me out by explaining it in simpler terms for me, I really use astrology as a way to understanding myself better and try to improve my outlook. thanks in advance guys. Yes, it's in Libra right now but your 1st House ends at 18 degrees Scorpio. Transiting Saturn will reach the end of your 1st House on December 10, 2013. Until then, you will be re-defining how you present yourself to the world and might be isolated a lot as a result. But once it enters your 2nd House, you will feel lighter and more confident. It's supposed to be a good transit to develop healthy habits because they'll last after the transit passes.

Well, I don't have this in my natal chart I have other planets in the 8th. However I've had Saturn transiting over my 8th house in Libra for the past 2 - 3 years, where my Sun, Mercury and Pluto are sitting. Saturn's currently conjunct my Mercury in Libra exactly at a 0 degree orb. I haven't had an opportunity to be intimate with someone during that entire period. And I have Venus in the 7th, meaning I should have a string of men knocking on my door. And I did until this Saturn Transit hit my 8th house. It's been a very difficult transit and many of my friendships fell apart which was tough. I read somewhere that Saturn transiting the 8th means a drought as far as relationships and sexual encounters go. And it was true in my case . I can only imagine what it would be like natally. However the good thing is it allows you to be very discriminate in choosing partners. And after this transit I'm like a steel wall, unless your made of heavenly stardust your not getting anywhere near me. Here's a description of the Transit I went through, maybe you can relate to it even though your placement is natal. Just to feed your thoughts. "How do you handle power? Your desire nature? Intimate relationships? What kind of obsessions and addictions do you have? What are your deep-rooted compulsions? What are your unhealthy attachments? When Saturn transits our eighth house, we feel pressure to answer these questions. Often, at the beginning of the transit, we are very sensitive to what seems like outer world pressures that force us to examine some of our deepest desires and attachments. These include our sexual relationships, our finances (especially with regards to debts and shared finances), and our need for control. Sometimes, Saturn transiting the eighth brings about sexual dysfunctions, whether we encounter these in ourselves or in our partners. We may face difficulties satisfying our libido and/or encounter problems with intimacy...When we give in to compulsive behaviors, we give up self-control, and guilt undermines our lives. We are not ourselves. By attempting to control others, we give away our own power over ourselves. By the end of this transit, we will feel more emotionally healthy. We will have nixed some of our addictions, and mastered our superstitions. We will feel more powerful because we have given up attempting to control things we cannot or should not control, and we will have gained a feeling of self-mastery instead." http://cafeastrology.com/saturntransitinghouses.html IP: Logged |

Everyone goes thru Saturn thru 1st sooner or later so you're not alone... IP: Logged |

LMAO. My best friend is a Capricorn who moved to another country a month before the transit began in October 2009. AH! We'd been good friends for years but we had sexual tension between us because his Mars in Aries was conjunct my Mars in Aries. If he had been around I might have broken the cardinal rule of friendship, don't sleep with your best friend! It stands to ruin everything including the friendship. Well the cosmos had a plan whipped up and because his visa expired he moved away, but we are still friends. Saturn and 8th house activity is just awful. Until you learn the lessons related to Saturn's teaching it feels pretty depressing. IP: Logged |

Aww that sucks about his visa. Who knows what retro Saturn through your 9th may bring (back) though. IP: Logged |

No no, for me it doesn't manifest as some kind of magical repellant, but more in terms of my thought process and how I approach relationships and people in general. Basically, I'm very cautious and selective about who I get mixed up with and I take sexual and emotional intimacy very seriously. Which a lot of people on the outside misinterpret as having some kind of issues or inability where forming deep bonds with other people is concerned.

I have Saturn in the 8th natally and it actually doesn't manifest like that at all, at least it hasn't for me. I actually end up alone alot not because of a lack of offers or opportunities, but because I turn a lot of people DOWN.

Lol. I guess what I meant is you attract what you give off. And with all that Saturn energy transiting my 8th I wasn't inviting worthy opportunities. I was going through a pretty pessimistic and depressive phase and therefore I wasn't attracting worthwhile prospects. My Venus in the 7th had standards even before the transit, however during said transit I wasn't attracting those outgoing, charming types that I adore and would consider worthy. It was a reaction to me suppressing that side of my self in order to go inward. I will say though, after the 2.3 year absence from complete contact with the opposite sex, not even a hug... I've become even more discriminate in making choices in regards to relationships, including friendships, then I was before the transit. I was holding on to a past relationship before the transit and having Saturn do the work that needed to be done, I was finally able to let it all go and find peace. Every situation is of course circumstantial and based on individual experiences. I'm finally at the end of this Saturn transit and I have noticed that once again I'm attracting those Airy, charming people of whom I love and adore. Yet now I'm in a place to make sounder judgments. @Capriquarius, that would be an exciting welcome back . I guess I'll just wait to see what's up Saturn's sleeve... IP: Logged |
