Hello,

Can someone explain to me how house positions work? I know that for example Aries ruling house is house 1. But in my birth chart, Aquarius is in house 1. What would this mean? All my planets in house 1 would give Uranus/Saturn influence (I don't feel Uranian.. more Saturnian... reserved, slow etc)
And I know Taurus rules the second house, but I have Aries in house 2, which might explain my impulse with finances. I don't have any planets in house 2.

House 3 - Taurus
House 4 - Gemini
House 5 - Gemini
House 6 - Cancer
House 7 - Leo
House 8 - Libra
House 9 - Scorpio
House 10 - Sagittarius
House 11 - Sagittarius
House 12 - Capricorn

What does this indicate? I have Capricorn in Pisces house.. would that mean any planets that fall in house 12 would me more of a Capricorn energy? Does that mean all my house 1 placements are more Aquarian?

This is how I think about it:

My 9th house cusp is in Aquarius. I approach 9th house things in an Aquarian way. My Sun and Mercury are in Aqua in my 9th. Sagittarius is the natural ruler of the 9th. So my Aqua Sun and Mercury get a Sagittarius flavoring as well.
