Pick one or more significant relationships in your life... and tell me which aspects/placements in synastry and/or composite really define the relationship/s you chose.I know that synastry is like a puzzle with many different pieces... but there are pieces that seem more important and stand out more than others. Could you pick maybe 3 things (aspects or planets in houses etc) that were particularly important in your interaction with that person? Also - explain *why* you think these particular aspects stood out for you! PS. I'm curious to see whether there is a pattern with people picking Sun/Moon/AC/DC stuff (which would be the traditional astro-story)... or whether there might be other aspects you found *more* significant... the ones that were very close in orb... or the ones involving planets that rule particular angles.. or planets ruling the Nodes.. and so on. Thanks Corn-flakeys!

We didn't have compatible ascendants and I think that caused a lot of conflict. Howeverz, his ascendant was in my otherwise vacant 7th House, so I saw him as a partner and was actually inclined to co-operate for once. Our NN's were in opposite houses (6th and 12th) so we helped each other along our paths and learned from each other. NN house placement is very important for long-term, IMO. Double whammy Sun-Saturn for longevity....also, Saturn is my ruling planet so it's important to me in a relationship. Mercury in Sagittarius is my chart ruler and his having Mercury in Aries and Moon in Gemini appealed to that. His Juno trines my Venus and I think this was an indicator that we were never going to get married despite a long-term relationship (according to Magi astrology). IP: Logged |

Not sure if this is what you are looking for...but the most defining relationship of my life, the one that impacted me the most had these aspects...my descriptions below defined how I felt about the relationship and probably always will...Sun/pluto DW--very transformative for both Many NN connections-namely his NN contacted almost all of my personal planets Sun/saturn DW--felt very fated, karmic Moon/Mercury DW-very telepathic, didn't have to speak, could read body language etc. Venus/Mars DW and juno conjunct pluto--amazingly beautiful sex, like none other Venus conjunction Chiron-not sure what to make of this one. I have read this is a true love aspect but have also read that chiron relationships can "blow up" unexpectedly... IP: Logged |

Synastry Aspects, 0 degrees: my Sun sextile his Saturn my Mars square his Moon my Pluto sextile his Venus my ASC trine his Sun my ASC sextile his Mars my ASC square Jupiter my MC conjunct his IC my Vertex conjunct his ASC my Venus square his VertexSynastry Aspects, 1 degree: my Sun square his ASC my Mars conjunct his Saturn my Pluto trine his Mercury my ASC opposite his Uranus my ASC conjunct his Vertex Composite aspects 0 degrees: Sun conjunct Mars Moon square Neptune Vertex conjunct DSC Composite aspects 1 degree: Venus trine Chiron I think the Vertex/ASC and Moon/Mars aspects are the most defining of the relationship (my Moon also squares his Mars but by 3 degrees, so its a DW). Those are even evident in the Composite. Can't stay away from each other (even when he has "cut" me out of his life, he still can't stop contacting me...) and always getting butthurt at each other, too. MC/IC is also a bit binding. Idk. It seems that we also have a lot of 0 degree aspects... the more exact aspects you have with another person, the more "special" it is. The other person isn't as replaceable. IP: Logged |

Venus to MC/10th house have been the most defining for me. It's been like clockwork. Both are ruled by Saturn. So there's a lot of lasting stuff with that. Ex-husband and fiance have the exact Venus almost. Second is that their personal planets are conj my Jupiter which is the apex of my T-square. Also, I know A LOT of people think 1st/7th house synastry is important but for me it's almost consistently been 4th/10th axis. They are much more sensitive. Why? I don't know. Maybe because said tsquare apex and singleton is one one side while the peregrine sun is on another and they are really receptive? I dunno, it all ties in. I think my chart in general likes Saturn since it is a recurring pattern. Mine is in Cancer, rules the sun/moon mp and it's also where my South Node is. People conj my MC are usually opposing those points. I'm feeling it regardless. Cancer/Capricorn = Moon/Saturn = almost archetypal energy as well. PS - Vertex and NN have also figured in for me, as in, they conjunct in synastry. IP: Logged |

Hm.. that's interesting.. right now I literally discover the basic core of our synastry chart on which everything turns I was just thinking about my Uranus conjunct his Pluto/IC so obviously felt... but there's a lot more connected with that! In fact; all the strong conjunctions/aspects are related.. pfft, I think I'm getting confused now. So let's start; My NN square his NN exact, (- they even share the *antiscian connection* since they're in Scorp and Aqua both at 14'**) The NN-rulers are my Uranus and his Pluto which are exactly conjunct on his IC. (very important as the NN's are already in an exact square, even antiscians) So, to stay for now with the *basic core* which is definitely *our picture* and also the aspect I got in mind when reading the first post... Yea.. his Pluto on his IC is a big inner challenge regarding his 'home- and family-life' and then *I* came... my Uranus was turning his (inner) world upside-down and sort of broke with his whole absurdly strict family-tradition in which he's expected to follow THE RULES. (my aqua-NN is even conjunct my aqua-Mars) But the point is; he simply wasn't/isn't able to follow their strict rules (to become truly accepted) after this not very smooth life he'd lead. Not only he couldn't see that clearly but also his parents were blind for their own unrealistic expectations which he couldn't meet. Ofcourse *I* wasn't accepted by them (like all other g-f's) and that was very normal to him (their rules!) but I'm sure deep down inside of him there's this big anger which I even felt once very strongly throughout the immer impassive air regarding parents (mainly MOM). To make a long story short; when it was over between us I wrote a true URANUS-letter to his mom The effect? I even didn't expect that myself but it turned out GREAT! More attention to him etc. Aspects connected with our NN's and rulers of nodes (but more felt on an energetic/emotional level); - His NN conjunct my Moon (which trine his Sun) - Ruler his SN (venus) conjunct my Mars (= conj. my NN) - Ruler my SN (Sun) conjunct his ascendant (= square his Uranus) .. (all within 2* orb) Hm.. I think we may never underestimate the NN & their rulers

I've been looking at my current relationship, and we have very little of the 'tranditional' relationship aspects regarding the houses.I was actually just about to start a thread to query this ... We have quite a bit of IC, 4th house, 8th house, Saturn, Pluto, and Ascendant activity. I should add, this feels like my most loving, transcendal, and important relationship to date, and I've had a few! Here are some of the aspects I have been speaking of: His Venus and Jupiter conj. my IC His Asc. conj. my MC My Moon conj. his IC My Venus sext. his IC His Sun, Merc, and Moon in my 4th house His Uranus conj. my Libra stellium (Asc, Mars, Saturn, and Pluto) in his 4th house My Sun, conj. his Sun, Moon, and Merc, in his 8th house Probably the most traditional aspect we have is Venus conj. Venus in Capricorn, but it's a wide orb (8).
My Pluto aspects all his planets from Moon to Uranus, including Asc. As does my Saturn. It's all been confusing me a bit, because the things people normally look for in synastry don't appear to be applying here, yet I have never been so moved out of myself by anyone. And I'm a tough nut to crack (Aquarius Sun, Virgo Moon, Venus in Capricorn, Mars in Libra). IP: Logged |

Geez, what a question. But, honestly, I have yet to meet someone who rocks my world for a long time. Most people I get together with,I get excited about and then its over. Usually I just drool over what could-have been. But I guess it couldn't hurt. My 7th house ruler is Venus. Venus sits in my 8th (together with Pluto and Saturn). My 8th house ruler is Pluto. Pluto sits in the 8th(together with Venus and Saturn). My 5th house ruler is the Sun. The sun is in the 9th house((yogether with Neptune, Jupiter and Uranus). To be honest, I don't take the 5th house seriously as , to me, it just seems to be all about fun and games. Nothing too definitive. Starting with 7th house: My venus , Saturn and Pluto-which seem to be definive for both 8th and 7th- formed a conjuction with an ex's Jupiter. This was the longest relationship I had. Despite the obvious lack of Scorpio in his chart. He had many "scorpio-like" aspects; His Pluto, Saturn and Mars were in his 1st house. IP: Logged |
