Both. But if your 1st house is big (as is mine) you might also have to read a 3rd forecast!
If unsure, it's best to put up your chart here and I will help you figure out what daily/weekly/monthly forecasts you should follow.

Just your natal. I will look at your house cusps so I can help you figure which 'scopes to read.

Of course if you know how to read the transits of the day that's best. I simply assumed from your question that you are a beginner.
