I feel astrology has helped me to understand my demons especially in my relationships...what I no longer attract is now what is projected to me via 7th house (scorpio). To find out, my boyfriend has the same rising as me so yeah...lol. My question is how do I ward off the projection that he throws upon me with all things scorpionic? Honestly I am not all the things that negative scorpio traits imply....I can't stand to be misunderstood. I can't be any clearer about my emotions with him but in some way, its not working. Any advice LL'ers? <3 IP: Logged |

You both have the same Dsc sign? Kinda tough, he's by nature going to view his relationships through a Scorpio filter. If you don't have Scorpio, Pluto aspecting your personal planets/angles, or 8th house placements, etc. then you may have a point. But if you do, then in his mind it's magnified. Personally I'd actually draw out my Scorpio side around him, to heighten the tension/create a draw/make it more magnetic. Personify the good about Scorpio so that he's placated, and less likely to dump BS on you, if we're just isolating the DSC here. I'm not talking about anything between your charts, there could be a whole other bag of worms there. IP: Logged |

Isn't it a good thing to have the same rising sign? Because they would view relationships the same way? I have Gemini rising, and so does my Leo crush. So I need to draw out my Sagittarius traits around him or we need to be that way with each other? IP: Logged |

^ Generally, YES (!) But, the OP is mentioning something else entirely: him projecting negative qualities of his DSC onto her.In my relationships with those with same ASC sign, I didn't encounter this problem, so I can't personally relate. But, it often happens that when we share the same rising, my Sun often falls in their 7th. So it becomes a different matter for my relationships.

I have sun square pluto and mars in my 8th house sextile my venus in 10th. He has pluto (6) trine venus (9) sextile his moon in 8th house. Yes we have scorpio descendants. Its annoying to me because I hate to be perceived as something as I'm not. Plus we both have venus in aquarius. So go figure. IP: Logged |

I try to personify the more positive traits of scorpio but he is really stubborn. This is almost breaking my heart but it's like he is used to females being this way and since I'm a female too, I fit right into the same category. All I can think is to give him space and let him ride it out by himself. IP: Logged |

^ Sun sq Pluto, I'd say that's enough to warrant projections. Projections that aren't too far from reality, but nonetheless infused with their past relationship experiences that you'll likely have to shoulder. Fixed signs are not eager to change. I have Sun sq Uranus. I don't hear rotten Aquarian type things from Leo risings with their Dsc in Aqua, but Venus in Aquarius men like to call me stubborn and hard to handle. I have a feeling it's because I don't often go along with their plan. They are desperate for me to fall in line so that they can be the one to call the shots as they so choose, and then me saying that I will walk my own line, if I happen to fall in line with them, that is fine, but if not then I won't be losing sleep over it. End result? I'm stubborn. Takes one to know one, I say.IP: Logged |

He also has the sun, mercury, venus and mars square uranus and a sun trine pluto. Not to mention a saturn square pluto: "There is often exposure to some very difficult emotional experiences, and these may set up a defensive stance that makes the ability to forgive and forget hard to maintain." that's how I find him to be sometimes. very defensive and it makes me question his motives because defensive people make me suspicious. my gemini moon likes to talk it out and inquire about every aspect but not to form a weapon against him but to get some psychological insight into his thought process. Just curious- there's no motive behind it. He finds it hard to believe it. IP: Logged |

I have experienced something similar to this. Visualize your natal chart as a land. Each house is a torch, or crucible filled with water, or urn filled with earth, or hovering mini-tornado. Stand in the center of the circle. Which ever way you face is what you project...to transcend, hit the switch on the jet pack, fly up and look down, but be careful not to turn down, there's a button to lower yourself, as facing directionally down will most likely result into a smashing affect(judgement).IP: Logged |
