Sun square Neptune: What do you know about this aspect?

Especially what do you know about this aspect when the person has a well developed Saturn?

They're dreamy and have a good imagination, may be alittle absent minded at times (if the orbs are tight), has boundary issues (esp in relationships)

The square is neither good or bad, but in the middle of the good/bad scale. A well or not well developed Saturn would do nothing. you just look at the two planets involved.

If someone has sun square neptune but sun and mercury in virgo that would definitely help balance out the sun square neptune negative inclinations. This is why you have to look at the whole chart and not just at one single aspect.

Interesting your view on squares. Can you please elaborate more on this view. I thought they were challenges in making two different energies work together as are opposites but would like to hear your view, sounds interesting.

Think of the aspect between two planets. A conjunction is the strongest aspect, while opposition is the worst. Few will disagree with that. A square is in the middle of these two.

Nothing about opposites attracting and repelling, just about how good, very good, excellent they are, without the description.

This is the same guy who says Aries is good, therefore Libra is bad.

Literally.
There's no rhyme or reason, only a scale from best to worst.

So Lonake, what signs would you put as good or bad in the natal chart? You're just upset because women get the 'bad' and I make you think that the astrology you have learned so far could be the wrong astrology, and who would like to admit that?

Neptune dissolves boundaries....it instills a sense of mystery so that you are motivated to go out into the world and do something.....as such it is an archetype which manifests among as as inspiration....if we do not acknowledge our artistic temperaments, we may find ourselves drawing in repressed individuals who believe expression is a desire.....i.e. I see this aspect as someone who was raised in a conservative environment and wills to be solarian but in doing so resists or suppresses his feminine side...or passive creative side....Neptune rules the ears and feet too along and is ruler of Pisces....so your neptunium archetype is squared with your Apollonian archetype....and they want to face each other, but they're not allowed to turn....so who is the mediator?

I have this, and as every square it requires a LOT Of hard work to be able to use it in a good way.

I have very hard time with boundaries, and im either too focused on myself (Aries Sun) or i get lost in dealing with others (Neptune rules my DC).
Also, im very, very sensitive to other people's energy and i take on their vibes/feelings/problems way too easily... so in the past i've always preferred spending a lot of time alone, but i dont like it anymore, so im doing lots of meditation and other types of spiritual practises whihc helps me to keep my balance even when im dealing with others. This requires quite a lot of discipline thhough, so having a strong saturn could be helpful. Spiritual practise also helps me to be more in touch with reality.

Very interesting! Would the mediator be the midpoint between sun and Neptune?

and if Neptune squares sun in the 10th and moon in the 4th, would Neptune in the first be the mediator of sun opposition moon??

...DreamyAriesgirl, thanks for sharing too. I liked your input.

So I have both Sun sq. Neptune and sq. Saturn, but I have Moon trine both these planets, and my Moon is in Taurus which in my mind means the trine is stronger (but that's just me talking.) Saturn is in Capricorn, a Capricorn stellium in my 7th house.

ANYWAY

Sun square Neptune - Makes me unsure, and I tend not to want to stereotype people even if it's true. I was reminded of this aspect when I went out to eat with a friend the other day. She thought our hispanic waiter was really sexy, but she kept calling him a gangster and talking about how she wanted to ride in his car with the hydrolics (she was joking) and this is just because he had on a jersey shirt and some dog tags.

Now, me? I would look at him and make believe "Oh, I bet this is his second or third job and he has two babies and home he's trying to feed. I bet he's a really devoted father and husband." I mean, which one is more romantic and fairy-tale? I also have Mercury and Venus square Neptune too. Thank the lucky stars for that one...

Listen up kid, ASTRO 101 OF THE DAY: Signs are neither negative nor positive.

Each has their good and netural and bad traits if we want to place value judgments on them, and even then, it would be relative to the person who is making that judgment.

Confused that you would make such strange statements, such as oppositions being the WORST aspect.
You miss out on intricacies of chart interpretation when you forget that polarities are inherent.
Aries is opp Libra. They are both ends of the same continuum. There is no value judgement necessary regarding which one is better or worse, they are forever tied together.
There have been judgments based on strength (Sun exalted in Aries, Mars detriment in Libra) in traditional astrology. But then again, Venus is in detriment in Aries, and Saturn is exalted in Libra.

A whole spectrum out there and you choose to ignore it. You do so at your loss, not mine.

Opposition is always better than the square, the opposition is like a full moon between whatever planets the aspect is involved with.

Everything in a chart has a bunch of different meanings and can play out any number of ways. The Saturn could ground them and mitigate a lot of the more negative potential in the square, or it could combine with the square in a really nasty way and exacerbate it; I'm thinking something like them believing they are some kind of mystical being, put here to be the authoritarian and judge, jury and executioner of other people.

I'd break out my Astrologer's Handbook and just type up the blurb for the square aspect but I'm too lazy to get it right now lmao.

Thank you for your OPINION, which you seem to have intent on being the word of astrology. I have many questions, but you didn't answer my previous question so won't bother asking any more.

I'm a terrible astrologer when it come to knowledge of astrology, unlike you. WhatI'm really good at is using astrology in the right way, not in the wrong way, like you and many other do. I can do what astrologers and skeptics alike want - rectify charts for fun. I've based my ability to rectify charts in the sports results, not on a person who think her Mars is so like this or that- because subjective opinions count for nothing in a field where whats counts is results. If we had a contest to rectify charts, I would blow you out of the water.

I havent just done it straight of the bat, I've look at all the problems in astrology and thought them through, thinking of the why too, though that still eludes me when people ask.

Your statement about there being no positive or negative in the signs is just plain daft. Or whatever you said. The idea that opposition are worse is tested against the sports results and quite logical considering that conjunction is the best apsect. What have you tested your theories against? The word of someone who says that aspect doesn't work for me? Subjective opinions count for nothing when trying to prove that astrology works. The holy grail in astrology is having the ability to rectify natal charts. I'm betting you can't do that.

Amelia, look at aspects as a single factor, without anything like a Saturn placement to add to. Look at Saturn by itself. Check what house both Leo and Pisces are on to give you an idea of what you are dealing with.

^ I felt obliged to call you out on your mistake. And I did that.

Never did I think you were going to change your mind.
Likewise, never think that your drivel will influence me.

A resolution between a square is really hard to pinpoint. There can be thousands. There can be the midpoints...and uranium astrological principles at work, or the standards trines, and most importantly sextiles....

Sometimes the resolution of a square can come from medication and having a well aspected pluto - which means psychological help.....

It just depends what spell you cast on yourself...take the collective info, and apply it, or visit an astrologer, but we are all astrologers here so....

My Neptune in the seventh was hard to incorporate...I was a gifted artist at birth, but repressed it, later becoming martyr like. When I finally distanced myself from religion, I was able to accept art as an intrinsic part, and it became an added dimension in my life. At first, my art was bad, meaning unethical, and I drew in unethical people, but my well aspected to Pluto in Scorpio and mars in Pisces trine caused me to transform, and now one way I control my reality is through my art ritual, which will most likely be refined until death....there is still sacrifice - I don't work out as much, I don't date as much, but I am stronger now, and in the long run will benefit...

you can see all this occurring in my chart...which I will not post, but will tell you, is riddled with squares...it is a strange chart....the first four and half houses only have asteroids...and same with the 11th and 12th...but as I learn more about astrology...I create a conciousness which pulls things towards me....I will have a blog soon to explain my metaphysical insights and metaphors which will help heal many of you....not many realize this but the imagination is very important for healing on a holistic level....you will know more about me in due time...but know this...What I give you, you may not need, I am not operating from ego here....but I have a strong healthy one because I observe it regularly....these are keys...they do not work on all doors....so bare with me.

Namaste.

I will say one more thing, had I not tapped into the Poseidon archetype in me, I would have also chosen the wrong career...it wasn't until I began experiencing divine laws in art and music that I was able to find peace on an altered path.

For now, if you want a square resolution, think of this, imagine it, and whisper it or exhale it, however you do it...it may help....

Sun....He wears a crown
Neptune....Is a man but gentle

S: He lights the world up
N: He hides the ground with water
S: He is always telling truth when truth is needed
N: He is always hiding truth when no one needs it
S: He is the one who shows the future
N: He is the one who releases the past
S: Ignore him and you will feel tired
N: Ignore him and you will get angry
S: He may be a woman or a man at certain times
N: He is always a woman or a man, and when he is a man he is more like a woman, and when he is a woman she is more like a man.

Neptune is feminine...and goes out in all directions.....

If your a guy, think of your girlfriend blushing at a comment from someone she knows you despise - that is Neptune, dissolving boundaries...at all seven levels

If your a woman, think of your husband content and even joyous with your parents, his in laws, that is Neptune dissolving
boundries

The best way to get to know neptune is to read his myth with this in mind...he is really a woman too..
