. Those born in the thirteen days of Yule (id est from the 21st or 22nd of December to the 2nd or 3rd of January)... were seen as predetermined to become Pagan priests and priestesses and learn about ást... They were "marked by the gods"...It is hard to understand all of this, but there is a logic to it. People born in the Yule tide came to Earth in the midst of the yearly Ragnarok battle (culminating in New Year's Eve), when the forces of light meet and fight the forces of darkness, and prevails I may add. http://www.burzum.org/eng/library/paganism13.shtml Has anyone anything to add to this,or heard of it before? it seems to be quite esoteric, but interests me as it mixes astrology and Norse paganism. I am dec. 18th. Damn it, I missed the boat. AGAIN. Actually I was expected to be born on 21st, but apparently decided otherwise.

I know someone who is born on Dec 23rd, and he LOOKS like a pagan priest (if you take a better look)! He looks very Cappie-like. He has long silvery hair and he likes to grow a beard. Very priest like! (He's in his mid-40s so not THAT old lol) You might be onto something!! IP: Logged |

Ummm. where do I start... I'm guessing none of you know of Burzum/Varg. As much as I think Varg is an amazing musician who was good looking in 1992, I would tend to take a certain amount of the things he puts on his website with a pinch of salt. However he is a brilliant musician. He has Sun(aqua) trine Uranus (libra) exact with a pisces mercury as his only water and likely jupiter in cap as his only earth. I think this idea comes more from the whole very Uranian/Aquarian nature he has, than any basis in fact. As a Norse pagan myself, I don't think the Gods and Goddesses would favour Capricorns over the other signs. Astrologically speaking Astrology is an Aquarian/Uranian thing (hence Varg's interest here) although Saturn originally ruled all that as trad ruler of Aqua. Being a priest/priestess comes more under the umbrella of Jupiter, the 9th and 12th houses and Sag/Pisces. So, I disagree entirely since I live in the southern hemisphere and it's not yule here...plus the above stated reasons. ------------------ 12.5% of the planets have 71% of the mass. #OccupyJupiter. (I'd totally post the pic in my siggy if I could) IP: Logged |

Yeah, I love my Cappies, don't I? Thing is he's anything but Santa unless Santa has recently lost a lot of weight! IP: Logged |

Very interesting! So, maybe *I* am a Pagan priest after all! (Sag Sun, Venus in 9th house).
