In general, when your chart is Western hemisphere dominant (most placements on the right hand side) your focus will be on others. This means that in your life, in general, you will be directly impacted by the choices that others make, you will need other people to get on your train to further your aims, vs. being able to go it alone as an independent/making things happen of your own volition.
Aspects, sign placements, mode and element emphasis, can all modify this, it is simply a general rule. For example, you have Mars/NN in your 10th, on the independent/Eastern side of your chart, both are good markers for striking out on your own.
