Yods. I know very little about them except that I have been told they are a "finger of god" aspect, and that you have a path you can't deviate from. For those who don't know. It's two quinqunx coming off a single planet to make a V shape.What can be said about them? Thanks! ------------------

This is the first I hear of yods, fascinating. Can't wait to see the replies.

i have 2 if chiron counts. 1 is to neptune in 3rd and the other is to chiron in 8th. think i saw one too in my progressed chart. IP: Logged |

It depends on who you ask. Some count chiron yods - I've been told I have one - and some don't. It also depends on who you ask, whether a yod is a 'good' or 'bad' thing, too. Some astrologers will see one and go into Cluck and Tut-Tut mode, and some will wax rhapsodic about them, so... IP: Logged |

Many people born in the 80's have a neptune Pluto sextile....inconjunct to chiron yod...some will have a planet in between Neptune and Pluto to mediate....the glamorization involved with Neptune and Pluto marks things like....American idol.......and the industrialization of entertainment...the plastique nature of which goes against teh honesty and integrity, and most importantly, spontaneous of chiron....these people will be underground artists...or counter cultural...some may enjoy wide spread success even, and there music will be transformative and potent, or art in general, work or however it manifests....they will be more in tune with the active imagination, and therefore, more alchemical....this is with chiron in gemini...so many of these children are learning about astrology and the new age in order to produce art which pierces through the illusion of glamor....in other words, it's intense(pluto) and mystical(neptune) but also syncronistic and spontaneous(chiron)...not just art but anything that is pursued...whether it's teaching....these people will seem to be eminating what some refer to as spirit...knowing what to do without logic...IP: Logged |

And part of the illusion of glamor is understanding that anyone can be glamorous....at any time...glamor is a thing to be enjoyed...but not something to base self worth on....it doesn't mean we all become hermits and never take showers or wear make up...it just is a more of an acceptance that the maker transcends all things...and that duality is not real.IP: Logged |

That's one way of interpreting the Neptune/Pluto/Chiron yod, sure. But if you factor in that Neptune is also spirituality, and Pluto is researching and investigating, interest in the depths... Then if you factor in all the recent talk about 'indigo children'... It could be argued that us Neptune/Chiron/Pluto yod folks are here for something far from anything 'plastique', contrary to your claims. IP: Logged |

And it just depends on aspects to personal planets too...if the neptune or pluto configuration aspects mars or venus or sun or moon...and those planets are in certain signs...and houses...those expressions manifest according to the power of the yod...the yod I guess is like an overflowing cup that dominates the life and needs to be integrated...or tragedy may occur.....or it's unavoidable...sometimes the person will fall from a position because they were meant to deliver a message that wasn't compatible with that group or ideal, or etc...etc...an example...a chiron yod priest would most likely have to denounce his priesthood because of his or her interest in the new age.IP: Logged |

Yes, you can deviate from that path. Yods are strong recommendations to focus on an issue but not an obligation. They don't put as much pressure as Saturn for example. Yods are about reconnecting disconnected energies. IP: Logged |

I have a yod with Uranus in Capricorn/11th as the apex and Mars in Gemini/4th, Moon in Gemini/4th, and Jupiter in Leo/6th as the "legs" of the yod. Or two yods, if you prefer - I always thought it was 2 separate yods until someone pointed out that it could just be an extra leg to the yod.I really have no idea what it means...I do know that I've shifted directions in my life many times, for seemingly no reason other than it just seemed like the right thing to do at the time. And I'm sure that I will continue to do it many more times. I personally don't think a yod "forces" anybody to do anything - I see my own as a reflection of my inner nature: always changing and moving, building a clearer vision of the person I'm going to be tomorrow. Wow, I just thought of making a thread about this particular yods for those born in 1982 or so (I don't know how long the configuration of these planets lasted). And then I see your answer!!! But what about when Chiron was still in Taurus? Does this change the interpretation you gave? And may I ask, did you take the info from somewhere or is this your personal interpretation, because in any case it's really interesting! Underground artists, I wish I were one, hahahah! 
I have the yod with Sag Neptune (11th house) quincunx Taurus Chiron (4th) and Libra Pluto (9th) quincunx Chiron, but there is my Mars in Libra (9th) in the mix, too, exactly conjunct Pluto. But there isn't much info out there, so I have trouble interpreting it myself!
Imo, Chiron yods count, Chiron is a planetoid after all and I have seen its importance at play. Of course, everyone might have another opinion, this is just my personal one..

Chiron YODs definitely count and I have this Pluto/Neptune/Chiron YOD myself natally. Even though this YOD may be generational, each of us have different natal aspects to the YOD thus we will all experience the power of YOD differently. I have many luminary aspects to Pluto and Neptune (also my sun ruler) so I feel driven and a need to achieve some sort of purpose but getting hurt or encounter difficulties in process.
