Whenever i was attracted to a man the degree around 17 Taurus seemed to play an important role. Normally they had the Moon or Mars there. There is nothing in my chart that I would connect to that point, so i never understood that. My current partner has also Mars on 17 degrees. I am using Solar Fire and was playing around with it and put up a heliocentric chart of myself, and i could not believe it, my Venus and Mercurius were on 17 degree Taurus. I am delighted, and understand now why. Mystery solved. Try it out for yourself if you have any unexplained degrees

All those kinds of things can be explained by other reasons if you think to look for them. Did you ever try seeing if you had any midpoints around that degree, for instance?

I tried to go along with Helio but it just doesn't fit me. Then on another board an astrologer made a good point, which is that basically your helio chart would be your birth chart, if you were born on the sun. But we were born on Earth so Helio is inherently senseless, which I agree with. Think about it; if a chart with the wrong birthtime or birth city is considered wrong, then why do so many people take seriously a chart that isn't even based on the planet you were actually born on?

Plus you aren't supposed to do synastry like that - comparing someone else's standard natal chart positions, to your helio chart - it's like comparing apples to grapes. If anything when you do a helio synastry you're supposed to compare each person's helio chart to one another.

I agree with Belligerent on this one.

Must be something else in the charts.

Thanks for the clarification, I had a look at my midpoints, what comes up in Taurus is a midpoint of Mercurius and Mars at 3 degrees, Venus and Mars at 9 degrees, Chiron and Uranus at 18 degrees, and Sun , Uranus at 27 degrees.
So the Chiron and Uranus is the culprit by the looks of it, if i look at the men that i was in relationships with, they were often physically weak, an illness of some sort, and in mental pain as well, I always contributed that to my Venus in 12, which will help, but with Chiron on that degree in Taurus, that could explain that as well. My present partner suffers also from disease.
Anymore suggestions about this degree are welcome,

What is Mercurius? *headscratch*

At any rate having something in the same sign as a particular midpoint won't do it either - it only counts if it's on the same degree or tightly conjunct that midpoint. And by tightly I'm talking 2 degrees, max and that's probably still pushing it.

As far as anything involving Chiron I doubt that's it either because Chiron is somewhat generational in nature. There are millions of people who have it in a certain sign and may have partners who have inner planets conjunct theirs, and all their partners aren't sick.

And the 12th house is the house of self-undoing. Health or lack thereof is the domain of the sixth house.

Alright , i explain, Mercurius is Mercury, i was using my native tongue, i forget that i am on an English speaking forum sometimes.
My midpoint of Chiron and Uranus falls on 18 Taurus, so that is only one degree away of the 17 th degree , where more often than not i found that my partners personal planets are, mainly moon or mars. Would that not count?
Back to square 1 so, if it isn’t the midpoint either, than what can it be? It is not that i particularly have a soft spot for Taurus in general, so why that 17 degree point in my relationships.
The only other thing that i noticed is that on the Arabic Points my Point of Love is on 13 degree Taurus, but that is a lot of degrees away, so maybe not that valid as an conjunction.
With Venus in 12 i meant is that it can be that you attract partners that need care in some form, and that seems to be the case with me. They are seldom healthy and happy bunnies .
Hope i explained it a bit better. I would love to get to the bottom of this degree.
