Hi,
I would like to investigate Jupiter placement in Natal Chart.
I read somewhere, having Jupiter in certain houses shows good or bad karma. (basically I am paraphrasing what I read)
Example: I have Jupiter in 11th house, by itself it is great. But my Jupiter opposes my Saturn in 5th, So there is a suppressing element to my Jupiter.
This aspect is nullifying my Jupiter. There is ALWAYS some kind of restriction to my expansion.
Example: If I am for promotion I would be the first candidate to be promoted (I am very good in what I do), but at the last minute something will change and either I won't get a promotion or I withdraw myself from the line.
Another example my weight
Sometime ago I decided to gain weight (I am slim) so I did all the right things / increased my calories intake, protein intake for muscle building and I started to gain weight in all the right places. But once again, something stressful happened and I lost everything plus some in 2 weeks ( I can not eat when I am under stress).

Somewhat I am grateful to this aspect because it thought me to be patient and retrospective but... damn I am tired. I just want for once in my life to expand without any restrictions/limitation.

What do you think about this aspect? How you overcome it or you learned how to live with this aspect?

Interesting - That's not really how my aspect plays out.

I have Jupiter in the 10th - exactly square Saturn in the 6th. Basically - when I sit down and do my work - I reap awesome rewards. It's always a situation where any other person who put in the same amount of work as I did - does not get as much out of it. So it is lucky for me.

The biggest downfall of this aspect is: At times in your life.. you get co*cky!

You go *all* Jupiter.. and you think:

"Pffffffft I'm the shi.t! I can get this work done in 10 minutes. I can do it all at the last moment. I don't need to prepare... I can prepare next week. I can just go to the beach now and relax all day.
Who cares??? I'm best friends with the boss/manager/teacher/president-of-the-universe/insert any other VIP - anyhow! It's not like they would fire *ME*... It's not like they would fail *ME*. Everything always works out for me... because I'm lucky! Why should I even bother?" LOL

This is what Jupiter in the 10th is like ^^^

And you might not get a slap in the face the first time or the second time... but sure as sure can be - you'll get a HUGEEE slap in the face eventually!

I'm not complaining! I've learned my lesson!
I just know that I need to be organized and actually DO things gradually over time... rather than overestimate my abilities. I'm a lot better at it now. I also have Capricorn placements and Sun trine Saturn which helps.

Forgot to add -- I also have Jupiter trine Pluto - so maybe that helps my Jupiter!

Yes, it could be push and pull situation
Overconfidence is one of it.
I learned not to be overconfident (I also learned my lesson after several huge slaps to my face in a past).
It is like that:

Jupiter: "Hurray let's go let's go let's go, are we there yet, lets do something grand, something great"
Saturn: "And where do you think you are going? STOP"

The recent big slap to my face happened on 12-dec-2011. (But I was not overconfident, I was very careful, fair and paid a lot of attention to details... basically I did my "homework", I put in a lot of effort and hardwork )
I thought everything is going fine (all the evidence was on my side) and THE unexpected happened and Now I am in font of huge roadblock which I do not how to overcome.
and I am back to "the drawing board".

i read someting like this too in a computerized astro report. i think it was jupiter and saturn in 7th, which cancelled each other out in the reading.

i only have good stuff to my jupiter, trines, sextiles, conj POF but it is retro, in h3, and in cap, which are not the best placements for jupiter.

i feel lucky tho most days..

Jupiter opposition Saturn
The opposition from Jupiter to Saturn indicates that you fluctuate between knowing what you are worth and having grave doubts of your value. You are never completely sure of yourself, and need to be constantly reassured by others that you are as talented as you think. Probably some strained contact with superiors, perhaps your parents, has given you this poor understanding of your capabilities.

This is a push-pull planetary combination. Because you need approval, you seek people who will make demands on you to prove your competence to them and to yourself. If their praise is not forthcoming, you reject them and alienate yourself. You seem to be looking for 'yes' people to give you the approval you require. But how hollow the victory that is forcibly extracted. Wouldn't it be simpler to accept competition from your peer group and make your determination that way? You obviously cannot face the truth, and your progress will be slowed until you can be honest with yourself. You generally reject other people who have qualities like your own.

You are inclined to be irresponsible and look for the easy way out of duty. This attitude needs severe adjustment. First, you must face reality and accept the responsibilities it brings; second, you should learn how your behavior hurts people and try to be less indifferent to them. If you can change in these ways, you can rise to any goals you set for yourself. However, if you doubt your own competence, your associates may also refuse to attest to it. You have work to do, and it is advised that you begin soon, if you haven't already.

The same problem in evaluating your worth will crop up in personal relationships, both in friendship and in romantic interests. You might well decide to use better judgement in these instances, because it wouldn't do to sever an alliance with someone very special to you. You don't usually make generous overtures to anyone, even to a lover. Even though you casually reject anyone who doesn't voice enthusiastic approval, you are surprisingly shattered when you are rejected and can't believe you deserve such treatment.

Once you know what you are worth, you won't feel threatened by anyone. Then you can proceed to develop your potentials for success.
