I would think Narcissus would manifest itself this way: my husband thinks he has the best taste in music in the world and anything he doesn't like is crap. He really is narcissistic when it comes to music.
How does Narcissus manifest for you? It maybe manifests different with you bc is a conjunct and perhaps with you it manifests more positively with him a sesquisquare is involved.

i am the very same with music! LOLi might be interested in listening to it...if i decide i dont like it, then it goes in the gutter permanently ------------------
I once saw a sign that said "sin is death" but if "all deaths are suicide (linda goodman)" and suicide is sin, then shouldnt "death is sin" be more appropriate? when organic is used to describe food then you know we have come to a dark age in history IP: Logged |

well yes everyone has their own taste and will not keep listening to something they dont like but he takes it further than that, he is a music nazi LOL. However he doesnt put his music that he creates out there even though he is very talented and has had offers to get his music published so perhaps Narcissus can be a superiority inferiority complex deep down or it could be genuine and his Saturn in the 5th holds him back in this area.He also has Sun trine Narcissus!: ) IP: Logged |

I could use some Narcissus in my chart. I am confident but there are days that I am far from it, I wonder if that is sun square neptune. I am working on this been a more stable part of me. Working towards a stronger sense of self which to me would mean confidence that is stable and consistent, a resilient confidence but I wouldn't want to be over confident either.IP: Logged |

I feel like I do and it is a compliment I get a lot from others. My Sun is in the 9th, in a grand earth trine with Saturn and the Ascendant. I also have have a grand water trine with Pluto, Jupiter, and Mars. IP: Logged |

i have a leo moon and a scorpio sun...you think i have confidence other than what i put on for show? LOL ------------------

You seem confident but in a balanced and good way. Edit: Perhaps narcissus conjunctions are good and with hubby since the aspect is stressful and on top of it to JUPITER it perhaps expands that Narcissus energy a bit more than ideal. IP: Logged |

oh and speaking of my mother, she could sit there and make fun of something i said, and when i say anything she doesnt seem to realize that she had hurt my feelings then says something along the lines of "what are you so offended for?"geeez, i dunno mom...because you clearly have no compassion for my feelings!!! ------------------

I am starting to think that the sun in your case represents your mother and since it conjuncts Narcissus that these are qualities that she possesses and projects it onto you bc perhaps she sees you as an extension of herself and is mirroring her shadow side unto you.THis is all just brainstorming as I dont know a lot about this asteroid to begin with. AmiI know a couple of people who I feel have a very strong sense of self. They are always very assured and super confident in their ways and usually never have a hard time making decisions. The couple of things they all have in common are Sun trine Jupiter and Uranus and some of the others have unaspected Suns. A vedic astrologer that looked at my chart though a friend of mine told him I have a very strong Sun. My Sun is unaspected as well. But basing it on what ive seen I'd say Sun- Jupiter and Sun-Uranus aspects. I'm not quite sure but i've seen a strong sense of self in Sun conj. Mercury individuals as well. And also it is "said" an unaspected Sun is Strong, especially the energy of the house it lies in so that could depend. As in example, The astrologer said I had very strong energy/aura to regenerate and heal other peoples energy(Sun in 8th). So i guess if one was to have a unaspected Sun in the 1st house that could also give a great sense of self. IP: Logged |
