I moved overseas, with my family, when Uranus hit my 3rd house cusp in Capricorn, and my sister's Sun (which is conjunct that cusp). It sextiled my Uranus/asc and Mars in the 4th. I can't remember the other transits going on at the time.I know someone else who moved to a South American country, from Canada, but I don't know her ascendant. She was newly engaged and pregnant, when they decided to move there; I was just looking at her updated flickr account, and their holiday pictures spent on the beach and in the pool (I simultaneously want more holiday/festive stuff here, along with the snow to match, and to be where she is, living it up in the warmth). Jupiter was conjunct her Venus when they moved there, or moving towards it, and Pluto trined them both. She's been travelling more over the past three/four years, and I remember someone here posting pictures from her travels with her now-hubby, and their beautiful composite. This woman wasn't with her fiance, when she started to really travel, though. IP: Logged |

I wonder about this also. Thanks for bringing up this topic.I'd feel like you'd have to look at the Solar Return in addition to cosmic transits and it's activity in relation to your natal chart. I have Gemini on the cusp of my 4th in my natal chart. The last time I moved overseas was in 2000. I moved 8000 miles away with my family. Saturn had just entered Gemini during the summer we moved. Mars was also in Leo. Saturn was trine my Sun in Libra and Mars was trine my Mars in Aries. There was also an eclipse during the month we moved. I travel on my own in general all over the country and the world, I have Sagittarius on the Midheaven conjunct Uranus and Saturn. I'm actually traveling overseas in 3 days. These are my current transits: Saturn trine Ascendant Saturn sextile Uranus Uranus opposite Sun Jupiter opposite Pluto Mercury transiting my 9th house Venus and the Moon transiting my 1st Sun transiting my 11th There's a lot of activity and that might account for traveling. Who knows. (When you find out let me know ) IP: Logged |

When I first moved overseas, SR Pluto was in my SR 4H, conjunct SR Vesta and natal Neptune. So, it was quite drastic and made me more independent. I was able to help my family with bills for the first time too. SR Ceres was in my SR 9H: I moved away from my mom (it had to be done). My 4H cusp was in Sagittarius: everything was foreign, new, and took some getting used to. I met people from parts of the world I had never thought about before and I moved for higher education purposes (Sagittarius is the traditional ruler of the 9H). Taurus was on my 9H cusp: I moved to a greener place where farming and agriculture are a big part of the economy. With SR Pluto in my natal 12H, I lived with someone who was manipulative and two-faced (THANK GOD THAT'S OVER!). Natal Uranus conjunct SR IC: I didn't go "home" for almost two years and kind of sprang the news about the move to my family at the last minute. It had to be done that way or I never would have left. This year's chart is mostly the same. Pluto is again in my SR 4H, but joined by Pholus, N.N., and Ixion all three conjunct natal Uranus. Jupiter is in my SR 9H. I'm not sure how this is going to turn out, but I have the feeling that I'm going to move again and wherever it's to, it might be the last place for a long time. IP: Logged |

For this drastic of a change, an eclipse must be motivating an aspect in your chart that shows something with the 9th house or it's ruler.Anyway, an eclipse hit my Venus and Mercury in the 9th and I traveled to Europe for two weeks awhile back. Loved it. IP: Logged |

Hi Teasel Saturn will be conjunct Uranus (my 9th ruler) in next SR. I wonder if that means staying put Did you look at asteroid House (4950)? I've just bumped an old thread from Glaucus about Odysseus and Ulysses. It may get moved to asteroid astrology forum. IP: Logged |

OOH! The July 1st eclipse hit my Mars in Cancer, which is sextile my Virgo Moon in the 9th. Soon after I started the application process to teach in South Korea. My Solar Return has Sag NN in the 9th and Mercury (ruler of natal 9th) conjunct IC. IP: Logged | |
