See Chart

No, your eyes do not deceive you.

I've been trying to point out the positives of these placements - Saturn and its myriad aspects in particular - to my husband (his chart).

I think it shows the potential for an incredible degree of fortitude and willpower (painting in broad strokes).

Have you ever known anyone else with such an, er, active Saturn? Do you have a similarly placed and aspected nSaturn?

[Also, mods, just let me know if this should be moved. There are a bunch of new forums since I was last here, and I wasn't sure where a personal-ish-but-specifically-generalized (O_o) post should go.]

I love Chapel Hill! Chiron conj the ASC. Were you bullied, badly, as a child?

This is my husband's chart

Bullied? Pretty badly abused by both parents (more so by his father), especially since he was the eldest.
By others? He was a brainy kid who grew up in low-income housing (public for a spell) and has an abdomen scar (knife wound) and a nose that was broken a few times to show for it. That stopped once he got bigger than most of the other kids - and learned to use his Gemini/Sag charm to make friends with the right people.

I think he must be.

He's successful in whatever he tries, but can be hesitant with new paths.
When he was a (Master's) graduate teaching assistant, he was offered a job, stipend, and credits through his PhD. He decided that academia was tiresome and didn't pay enough. (I think he was feeling some pressure as I was the one paying the bills at the time). In fact, he began having severe digestive issues and dropped down to a BMI of about 19. Once he quit being an GTA and went back to regular employment, his digestive issues ceased.

Now, he's easily one of the best at what he does for his current company - but, in all honesty, he's bored with it and (theme emerging) would like to make more money. I think that he can definitely do more / move into a position in which he feels more appreciated (to me, he's awesome and brilliant...but I'll admit bias) and am unhappy that he seems unsatisfied.

tl;dr version: He's very successful at what he tries, though there
(a) may be some confidence issues
(b) are definitely issues surrounding his need to feel like he's "providing".

Let me know if that answers your question. My response was a little all over the place.

H12 Mars and psychosomatic issues,I see that happening.
He must be at his own path or he will continue to sabotage himself, because he knows deep down that's not for him.
He has domiciled Mars, epitome of raw and assertive energy,and-not doing what he wants is like caging him,and when Mars in fire sign, that energy never goes away,it can be productive or very harming. Water Mars, for example can sublime it,or disguise it,but not a fire one. Certainly not Aries Mars

Interestingly, when I saw chart somehow House popped in my mind

Disclaimer: I'm typing this on a mobile device...expect goofy typos.

He *does* remind me of House in some regards - very much a similar physical type, a similar capacity for acerbic wit, a fierce intelligence, and the same exacting standards in his work life.
He's a good deal more patient (Taurus influences paired with the heavy Saturn action?) and emotive (Neptune conj. Moon?). Also, though not a teacher, he is very good at teaching - able to simultaneously present sweeping or difficult subject matter with enthusiasm while grounding it so that it's understandable (but how could it be otherwise with is Sun/Moon/Asc-Merc combo?

Re: assertiveness: Yes! I Pointed out his underlying assertiveness on our first date...he was dubious. He had a point - he says that it would've taken him at least six months of testing the waters before asking me out. I asked him out after knowing him for less than a month...atypical Pisces, I guess.
But here's the rub: We worked together, so I got to see his assertiveness in action *when he wasn't consciously thinking about it*. That seems to be when it's at its most apparent - when he's in his groove/area of expertise. When he would will it to manifest, it rarely does (12th House?).

Well, you're sussing out a great deal more than me. I've been away from looking at charts for a while, but he stirred up an interest again. When I looked at his chart for him, Saturn and his Sun/Moon dynamic were what jumped out. Well, those and that any work woes would be likely to impact him as a person rather than stay compartmentalized (6th House). It's awesome that he's curious, but I'm a...bit limited.
I totally chalked up his not being more of a wild child (Sun, Moon, Mars/Venus, and relatively active Uranus) to his Saturn, though.

Massive love karma. He must have done something wrong in a past life, and Saturn is now making him learn a lesson.

LaLaLinda - Sorry if this is turning into more of a personal thread than a general astro thread. I meant for it to be more of a, "Whoa! Look at this Saturn! Let's talk about this and other active nSaturns..."

Athene, venus, and Ami - Not that I'm compalaining *at all* :-D Your insights and discussion regarding this chart are welcomed and appreciated.

It is very interesting example
My examples for strong Saturn are hardened people who are pretty much the master of whatever they are dealing with, great role models, but most likely indomitable authority. Also, sad people, because they feel the consequences of time passing more than others; Their awareness to what has been lost is great, often makes them them very driven to fix things that have been broken, they are essentially people of the past. Very principled moral compass (this is House reference) Very loyal, devoted.

I've "bolded" the especially applicable bits.

As I referenced, he had a pretty horrible childhood, and he'll say that a lot of his relationship behavior is an effort to make things better than he experienced them.

He also does have a very principled moral compass, though it was hard won. (For his sake, I won't go into it more here.)

And, yep, you've hit the nail on the head again - he's the most loyal and devoted person I've ever met...not especially indicated given a good portion of his chart taken separately, right?

I also have a rather prominent (but not nearly so much as his) Saturn, and I've definitely felt the effect/identified with the described attributes of my Sun/Saturn/Neptune natal t-square (Chart in sig); so it's been easy for me to commiserate with him on Saturn
