... as to attract attention and comment.----- This is a quote by Ptolemy... which Linda Goodman included in the Venus/Mars (con/sextile/trine) interpretation - in Relationship Signs. I'm starting to think that *actually* the aspects that really lead to such entire 'love and affection' - are Moon/Venus ones... rather than Mars/Venus. Can you guys relate? Or do you think it does apply to Mars/Venus connections? Also, what other aspect(s) would you attribute this kind of love to? IP: Logged |

moon and venus is sweeter than venus and mars (which is more sexual). I'd rather have a moon conjunct venus tight ( like 1 degree) than a venus conjunct mars. It IS much more rare to have a moon conjunct venus with somebody since moon moves fast. I like the feeling of warmth it creates. IP: Logged |

Shrug. I have Moon Trine Venus in my natal (I hear it makes me soft). She has Moon Square Venus (I hear it makes her lustful). We also have Venus Opp. Mars in Synastry, for what its worth.IP: Logged |

Moon or Venus conjunct Jupiter, as well. I think one reason I liked that Taurus so much at first, was that his Sun/Moon were conjunct not only my descendant, but also my Moon/Jupiter and Venus/Jupiter midpoint. My dad's sun/moon are in the same place, and we get along well, when he isn't rushing me. IP: Logged |

I like a guy who has venus-pluto conjunction in libra. It will fit well with my mars-lilith, pluto-union, ascendant-aphrodite conjunction in libra 1st house. I'm looking for such a guy again. . The last one drove me crazy, out of control yet secure and safe.. I really miss that feeling. It was love at first sight and I will do anything for him.. still. IP: Logged |

A beautiful aspect, moon-venus , i have it in synastry , conjunct within one degree, with my partner, just to look at him makes me melt, i can see how he looks at me sometimes when he thinks i don't notice it, it is all sweet and close. No words needed with this aspect. IP: Logged |

i agree and like moon venus. i've had my venus intaurus and her moon in taurus/rising. also my leo moon conj her venus in leo.never had the mars venus ever. that would be venus in scorpio and mars in taurus in partners. i also seem to like strong venus. at least in h7, libra, or taurus.. what about 2 people with strong venuses? even if theirs do not touch they still would have great capacity to love.. i don't know much about synastry tho. I've had someone's progressed Venus conjunct my Moon. Sign seems to matter. For us, it was Aquarius so the connection was unconventional. His Moon is opposite my Venus. The textbook descriptions of the synastry of this aspect are accurate: incompatible social needs. The longing was there, but the opposition is tough to reconcile. IP: Logged |

Interesting. I have a natal Moon-Venus opposition and with one of the guys I like we have it in synastry. I think my familiarity with this energy in my natal probably makes it easier for me in the synastry but I don't know how it may be for him.

Alas, he has no natal Moon-Venus aspects. I do but it's a square.I heard that theory used in Magi astrology as well, that even if a couple has a heartbreak aspect in synastry (e g. Venus square Chiron), it's cancelled out if one of the two has it natally. Personally, I don't think this sounds healthy. IP: Logged |

Betty, that kind of affectionate love that the quote implies seems to be more fitting to Moon/Venus imo. Venus/Mars has probably too strong of a sexual aspect for that (though of course Venus-sensuality enhanced by the emotionalism of the Moon can also make physical / sexual contact very pleasurable; but imo it is more about the physical exchange of love than pure "animal magnetism"). I hated Moon (his) quincunx Venus (mine). It was extremely painful in the beginning for me as the Venus person. IP: Logged |

I like Moon/neptune both ways... Yeah it is seeing through rose colored glasses, and you really do put the person on some sort of pedestal.. But with the both way, at least it comes from both.... Even though it may be delusions it still feels good.. I also like Jupiter hitting personal planets.. You can have so much fun together, laugh and joke... You really really like being around that person... Moon/venus is good too.. I felt this, I feel head over heals.. But the outcome was bad, so IDK it was so long ago, its hard to pinpoint.. Sun/Venus is nice tooo... IP: Logged |

Moon/Venus is awesome. I like almost any aspect between those planets though (including oppositions and squares)... just having them 'touch' at all usually feels really nice. The hard aspects can create more obstacles and sometimes different values, but the warmth and attraction is still there underneath, IMO.I've had Mars conjunct Venus with a few people and it never worked out. A lot of initial attraction usually, but downhill from there, and no guarantee of emotional compatibility. I much much much prefer Venus opposition Mars -- I think the natural polarity of those planets makes the energy a lot stronger when they're in opposite signs. IP: Logged |
