what have we learned about the pisces sign in general while in the age of pisces? or is it too hard to tell considering how we don't have anything to compare it to?

Are you referring to the 'Jesus' Pisces Age lol or the coming Neptune in Pisces Age? I'm so excited about the latter! *claps hands* If Neptune in Aquarius did all of that for the internet, I hope every gets a little more lovey and ethreal and rosy for the Pisces Neptune lol

Yes I do think every age will have something great in effect, however I think that the effects will be drastically different as each sign rules different things. Spiritually and unconditional love which Jesus was suppose to represent in his time is a very Piscean sentiment. I do not think the other ages 'statements' will be about the same things, they have other concerns. For instance, Aquarius and Uranus with the Global well-fare, equality and electronic/internet things. Every age has something important that it needs to express but of course the age following it has the best vantage point to assess it and gage it's 'importance'. Things that were massive 'ages ago' have been forgotten now perhaps and these things will go in their cycles to remind us!

i just found a source that says that that each age is about 2000 years.
but i found another source that says humans have been on earth 200 000 (http://www.universetoday.com/38125/how-long-have-humans-been-on-earth/)

so what was the first age?

also, on a seperate note..it's not unreasoable to ask if we're not suppose to live past the pisces age? or is it?

Leo will be the subtle energy of aqua, just like virgo is with the pisces age.
