It does sound like sex drive or just drive in general is "dissolved" at worst and sublimated at best.

What about being receptive though? Would the individual be more comfortable being assertive sexually, than not? Also, if you have Mars in the 1st then perhaps that's where you're more comfortable being sexually aggressive but not receptive?

A friend of mine has Mars conjunct Venus in the 12th. It's at 29' Pisces. He's got a very strong libido, but has issues... erm... finishing the job.

(He's one of those friends who is VERY open about sharing things. )

If you are receptive, it may be because the energy you suppress will "leak out" and you will be presented with it in the form of persons/external situations that you absorb.

If Mars is at the very end of your 12th though, it could be considered to straddle both 12th & 1st since it is a relatively fast-moving planet, so you probably act out your aggressive side unknowingly, yet it will be apparent to others.

Maybe it's more about having a sex drive that is not prominent publicly, but it is strong. (unless of course if the person wants to reveal it to a friend)

I have Venus conjunct Mars in 12th house Capricorn.

I think you're onto something there. If I use Placidus, I have a 12th house Mars. I only recently realized I have issues with sex because I'm getting ready to move out of my parents' house. At 22. Sure, others always tell me how nice I am. And how sweet I am. but that's what they say to little kids too. I'm not a horny raging teenager or anything, I just think sex changes your behavior in a way and that I've been afraid of it (physical intimacy as a whole) because of the transformation. Of course I have a sex drive, I'm human. But being approached sexually in a public place makes me extremely uncomfortable, thus not much is happening whenever I go out to bars with my friends.

I've had the same experience. That was exactly what I had in mind when I posted earlier. It's like people aren't willing to accept you have a sex drive! it's just strange.

We need to SEE the chart please? all depends on how mars is aspected, but is does suggest that you were not able to act in a way you wanted in early childhood. Could have been a real handful and poss sent to your room, and therefore *learnt* not to take direct actions.

Remember planets are modified by signs, where they express are houses and how they express are *aspects*
