Lol I actually like venus opposition uranus better.
So I really think it depends. Bc with one guy he had his libra sun, moon and mars very near my libra stellium (4 degrees max) and his juno was conjunct everything too. But I wasn't interested in him (though he was in me). He had a virgo mercury and was really tactless and critical. His Venus in Scorpio made him really like... Not the sunniest of personalities.
Guess it doesn't always play out the way people say it does.
We also had eros conjunct eros tight and venus conjunct pluto tight and we had mercury ocnjunct sun DW (both by less than 2 degrees)
I hardly felt a thing. o_O Good conversations but yeah.

Was he hot?

Uh. He was alright, probably be like a 7.5 if he had better skin LOL.
I dunno, it wasn't a shallow judgement. Just didn't like how he was so tactless and broody.
I've gotten used to dating people with air and fire venuses (so was used to happy go lucky) and his scorpio energy was REALLY obvious. And I didn't like it cos it didn't blend with his libra energy well.
He seemed like the committed type. But way too dark for me. (Esp in contrast to the venus in Leo before him)
We actually kissed a few times but I told him I wanted to be friends. He got kinda bitter after lol! For a couple of months. Typical of scorp venuses i expect.

Sounds like he wasn't attractive enough. It's like with sexual harassment....its not harassment if he's cute hahahaha. I had Venus conj Venus with two people who were attracted to me but I didn't find either hot, so no go.

Haha maybe. Though I remember having the thought that he was literally the first guy I REALLY wanted to KICK in the face due to his anal comments (virgo mercuries aren't be that bad, think it was just him -_-) and he boasted about his wealth and intelligence and connections. It was fcking irritating.
So even if he was DAMN sexy, I'd still have to restrain my hands and close my ears haha. I can't do arrogance, rudeness, douche baggery behaviour. We had a text exchange once where I literally had to turn off my phone cos he got too much. Some people just manifest the dark side of their placements unfortunately.

lol no this guy was a libra sun, moon and mars, virgo merc, scorp venus (surprising cos you'd think they would be charming. He was a dickwad). He had a virgo rising I think.

Had so many conjunctions with the guy, should have been great, but hell no.

The three caps I dated all had venus in sag lol, but different mars signs.

Venus is all about charm but is in detriment in Scorpio so ya it's too strong for other Venuses. I don't think I can stand other Venuses either, really. They wouldn't understand manic love, as it's called in psych. Brings out every insecurity. Steer clear.

(I'm Scorp Venus)

I seriously think venus in Scorp can be a lovely placement. It was just THAT guy.

Cos I know other people with Scorp venuses and they aren't so heavy.

I just assume seeing that he had his sun, moon AND mars in libra, he'd be able to speak with more tact. It was funny cos he's the one with the virgo mercury, and I'm the one with two virgo placements, and I wouldn't talk the way he did. It's quite interesting actually, how much mercury energy shows in the way we interact with people. No wonder there's so many virgos that don't seem virgo like at all!
What mercury does Rachael Ray have? I was so surprised when I found out she was an Aug Virgo.

Wow okay I just checked her chart. She has everything in virgo o_O except with a leo mars. Wow. She acts alot more Leo than Virgo imo.

EDIT:
Just adding to the already good list.

EDIT 2:
BTW RAS, I experienced Sun-Pluto-square in synastry combined with a Venus-Pluto-square, and these definitely belong on the list for synastry as well; at least for me personally.

In this case Sun was ruling the 8th house and VEnus the 5th house, so it might have figured in.

The venus pluto square creates enough sexual attraction for obsession, lol. But, I've never read sun-pluto in synastry causing sexual attraction at all?

I could roll with that.......I was obssessed with my ex for a long time after we broke up and perhaps it was our composite sun/pluto conjunct by one orb that explains the mental obsession.

Perhaps then what drew us together like magnets as soon as we saw eachother was composite mars conjunct pluto exact 0 orb with the following synastry aspects:

his uranus square my venus by 2 orbs and
his uranus square my mars by one orb.

and my psyche conjuncts his uranus and sun exact.

i don't buy into the Venus/Mars-Pluto thing..Pluto is a generational planet and so we all have our venus or mars conjunct a LOT of people's plutos...

even if you try to say that the orb must be really close..Pluto is so slow moving that you're going to have Venus conjunct Pluto at 0 degrees with a lot of people still..

i might buy the theory if you believe that it only affects you if the Pluto person already has a lot of Pluto going on in the natal chart..then i could make sense of that.

anyway, just my opinion.

my thoughts on best sexual attraction indicators:

venus square mars
venus conjunct mars
sun conjunct mars
mercury trine/conjunct venus
mars in the 1st house
venus in the 5th house
mars or moon in the 8th house

those are what work for me..and the venus/mars aspects only work for me if i'm venus...

Lotis White, you know your stuff. What I have to say about venus-pluto or even venus-mars or any other good synastry is that if you don't have a good composite, there won't be an attraction. I've only had attractions to people where the composite and synastry BOTH showed that we would get along and like each other. I've never had a crush on someone i didnt have a good composite with, never.

“Sun/Pluto contacts are similar to those of Sun/Mars but more profound in effect. Pluto intensifies everything and everyone it touches, sending out currents of emotional and sexual vibrations in a sometimes obsessive or controlling manner.”

Thanks Lotis for your sun/pluto contribution! I hadn't read about it but experienced it and knew that it creates a super strong attraction. What your book says really does describe extremely well my relationship with ex. We both have mars/pluto conjunct exact in composite and sun/pluto conjunct by one orb in composite. Oh and we also had sun/mars conjunct in composite LOL. No wonder it took me forever to get over him and he still wants to get back after 9 years but I love my husband and although I would love try again in another life for this one I am done .

And …

“Contact between these two planets can provide a lifetime of intense emotional-sexual compatibility (common with the conjunction, sextile, and trine) or a traumatic relationship that involves excessive feelings, heightened anger, and emotional or sexual possessions.”

When I was with him I knew I wanted to be with him forever and marry him and never be with another men ever again. He was the first guy I had sex with that I loved. I could have been with him forever and not even look at another men. I wanted to surrender to him and give myself completely to him and that is exactly what I did. The desire to merge with him was soooo strong from the beginning but in a spiritual beautiful way I wanted our souls to become ONE so bad. The chemistry will always be strong and I will always care but I am done.

White Lotis,

With my ex his sun sextiles tightly my sun and his moon conjuncts tightly my moon. His moon opposed widely my sun and my moon trine his Sun....no wonder I had such a strong desire to merge from the beginning. Now I finally understand the big fuss about sun/moon and moon/moon aspects. I thought that merge desire was coming from pluto and been drawn to him like a magnet perhaps was pluto/sun/mars aspects with venus/uranus and mars/sun aspect.

"The Sun and the Moon represent very core parts of our nature. They are very wholistic, and aspects between the Sun and the Moon are very primal and bonding on many levels… they have a strong psychological component of feeling very deeply another…. But I’ve noticed that they also have a physical component to them as well…. It’s not quite mad passion as with a Mars type aspect….. But there is this physical urge towards union, because the Sun and the Moon complete each other somehow… it’s a pull from deep within…"

I have sun conjunct moon and sun trine moon with a guy and even though i'm attracted to him, i don't feel any urge to merge with him. i had composite sun square pluto, venus trine pluto, and dw venus-pluto aspects in synastry combined with either composite sun conjunct venus or jupiter.....and those people i definitely did want to merge with

RAS,

I checked, and there are plenty others indicators as well. So it probably is not the Sun-Pluto-aspect alone.

There were among others:
- Pluto square Venus (1) and Venus sextile Pluto (4)
- Pluto sextile Mars (0)
- Pluto trine DESC (3) and DESC trine Pluto (0)
- ASC conjunct Mars (4)
- 8th ruler conjunct 5th ruler (1) / 5th ruler sextile 8th ruler (4)
- 5th ruler sextile Pluto (4) / Pluto square 5th ruler (1)
- 8th ruler sextile 7th ruler (2) / 7th ruler sextile 8th ruler (3) and 8th ruler sextile 1st ruler (3)
- 8th ruler conjunct Uranus (3)
- 8th ruler conjunct Venus (1) / Venus sextile 8th ruler (4)
- 8th ruler square Pluto (1)
- Pluto square 5th ruler (1)
- Sun conjunct 5th ruler (1)
- BML and Mars square BML (1)

And it probably is not without significance that the Sun-Pluto and Venus-Pluto aspects overlay each other.

His Sun conjunct my Venus and squaring both Pluto`s (orb is one degree)

The composite has a conjunction or ruler of the 7th, 8th and 5th house in 1st house.

Ceridern,

I think the sun conjunct venus and DW venus-pluto wouldve done it alone...

What did the composite chart look like?
