i just found a site on midpoints and thought i'd share also ask if anyone can shed some light on any midpoint(s) they have experience with (within synastry)this site talks about midpoints in natal charts, but i'm having trouble finding anything on synastry i realize the discrpition would be fairly similar for both but still if anyone is able to shed some light on any, from experience, that'd be nice http://john-sandbach.blogspot.com/2010/12/planets-activating-jupiterchiron.html IP: Logged |

Husband's Sun/moon midpoint conjuncts my venus and mars and my sun/moon midpoint trines his venus and my sun/moon midpoint cojuncts my ex mars and my friends venus all tightly. My sun/moon midpoint trines best friend from childhood sun/moon midpoint by 5 to 6 orb.I think sun moon midpoint in synastry are cool. Haven't really checked out other midpoints in synastry yet though. Edit: Just saw your link.......jupiter/chiron midpoint sounds awesome. I imagine it will be specially beneficial for people with depression in synastry and transits to help with mediating these moods. IP: Logged |

Interesting my jupiter/chiron midpoint is in pisces at 4 degrees which trines my husbands moon by 3 orb. I have always felt that he helps me with my mood swings except when he is going through one of his own which then it gets ugly but part of why I like him is that I feel his presence has a therapeutic effect on me. Come to think of it so does my dad and his moon is in virgo at 6 degrees which opposes this midpoint by 2 orbs. Edit to add: .....Specially with my dad I feel a lot of peace emotionally. OMG my dad's chiron conjuncts by 3 orb my southnode at 19 degrees and ascendent at 13 degrees.
This explains why I feel good emotionally with hubby in spite of the absence of sun moon aspect in synastry or moon/moon aspect in synastry, and no sun/moon composite aspect but eachothers sun/moon midpoints trine and now I learn that jupiter/chiron midpoint trines his moon. IP: Logged |

Only hard aspects to midpoints are considered (and usually under 2 or even 1°30).Don`t forget we all have like a gazillion midpoints in our charts. IP: Logged |

Ceri, three orb in my opinion is tight. I go by three orbs or less when planets are involved somehow and 2 or less when asteroids only are involved. Would you say that conjunctions is hard aspect for you? bc that is another thing up for debate......some astrologers think is a hard aspect and some dont.I like trines a lot so I tend to mention them but I suppose with midpoints the effects will not be felt all that strongly perhaps. However, I know with husband I have an unaspected sun to moon and moon to moon and he is always going on about how we complete each other and emotionally we are compatible so I am confused as to why this is if in synastry and composite we don't have sun/moon aspects or moon/moon aspects and this sun/moon midpoint trine between each other coupled with my jupiter/chiron midpoint to his moon explained it but perhaps is yet something else but until I find that something else I am going to think is this. In midpoint astrology only orbs up to MAX 2 degrees are being considered, even though I would see a 3 degree orb as tight in normal aspects as well. And only conjunction, square and opposition (and some consider semisquare and sesisquare). These are "hard" aspects in the sense that they are ACTIVATING and providing a lot of energy, which is needed to trigger a midpoint. A sextile or trine is not "loud" enough.IP: Logged |

midpoint astrology is Cosmobiology or Uranian astrology. Reinhold Ebertin was sort of the "founder" of it (at least in modern times). Witte was working on it, too, but added hypothetical planets, which I find higly doubtful.IP: Logged |

If you put up your synastry with your husband, I can check for what might cause the feeling of completeness.IP: Logged |
