I don't know if its just my age group, but I know some people who go through so much problem to catch a glimpse of an actor. Also doesn't pluto influence obsession? Most of us have pluto in scorpio too.

I've never been obsessed over a single celebrity or band.I mean sure I find some celebrities very attractive, but they are unobtainable. I don't even understand.... I'm not trying offend anyone.

I don't think this is particular to Pluto in Scorpio. Each generation had its own set of celebrities to craze over. I'd venture to say that the state of the economy would affect the intensity of the obsession...e.g. if times suck, people would seek further escape through the movies/celebrity culture.

Box office numbers climbed during the Great Depression from what I recall..

If you're interested in aspects in a natal chart that point to fascination with the media, Barbara Hand Clow mentioned that Chiron in the 3rd could use the media as a replacement for lack of a sibling relationship.

Lmao... That makes a lot of sense :P. Fan girls are mysterious and hard to understand. You watched twilight and cried? I've seen the first movie and it did not move me at all.

Twilight? I did see the first one but it didn't make me cry, no. Though I can understand the obsession behind it....it is pretty Pluto in Scorpio-esque though, ain't it? Power to penetrate...or not.

The Twilight fangirls are pretty bad, but are they worse than the Snape wives?

No, seriously, here is where I out myself as someone who follows celebrity gossip. Not religiously, and certainly not to the point where I get emotionally distraught over celebrity breakups or anything. But idk, it's a harmless way to satisfy my gossipy side, which I think comes from my Virgo Rising and heavy 3H placements. I like other people's "stories," I guess. Also my 12H Leo Moon probably contributes to this as well.

I don't really care about meeting any of these people in real life. I think when it gets to the level of going out of your way to interact with a celebrity personally, it's possible that Neptune (illusions) is involved? There may also be an issue with boundaries, if the fan gets stalkerish and inappropriate with a celebrity, but I'm not sure what astrological placements you'd go to for that.

Not offend anyones religious beliefs, but the stories actually have good Mormon values. You know wait till you're married to make love. I think thats great and all to promote abstinence especially when its directed at kids, but still I hated the awkward sexual tension.... Besides I like the taylor lautner is really over sexed in that movie, so it defeats the whole purpose.
It bugged me how Bella never really did anything with her life, besides wait around for edward like a good wife should do :c, and then have babies.

Okay I was forced to see the other two movies....... Its fun to laugh at it thou

^ I didn't sense any sexual tension whatsoever lol. It was pretty funny when they were flying through the trees though! It was totally worth the two bucks.

I like what I like and the "status" of whatever I like is immaterial to me. Music is the most direct example I can refer too. There are a few somewhat popular bands that I love. The Knife, Bjork, Portishead. Then there are a bunch of not so popular bands I love. Planningtorock, iamamiwhoami, Perfume Tree. How popular they are doesn't matter though. I'll "obsess" over anything I want to. To me, it would feel just the same if I met them regardless of if they were well known or not.

I'm basically saying that I could care less if someone is a celebrity. If I like them I like them, if I don't I don't. The status of them doesn't matter to me.

I like portishead. Yeah I have my own musical preferences, I usually phases were I listen to certain bands, then I get sick of them and discover new music. Then those amazing times when you rediscover those old bands or musicians ahah. I'm sure thats with everyone thou.

I remember back in the late 90s, whenever the Backstreet Boys or any other 'hot guys' appeared girls would scream their heads off in the same way that they do to Twilight, and girls were collapsing at the sight of Elvis Presley's lightning hips and Michael Jackson's moonwalk long before they ever arrived. Seeing footage of some of the Michael Jackson fans crying and shaking at concerts is rather odd, but hose fan girls are just plain crazy and probably always will be until they grow out of it.

I met Anne Hathaway a couple of years ago, I was at a concert and she rolled up next to me (I SAT NEXT TO HER!) with a security team. My friends wanted a picture, and I secretly did too, but then part of me thought that I wanted to just leave her alone and let her enjoy her privacy (probably a Piscean 'putting myself in their shoes' deal) as she entered a minute before the show began, hat tipped, trying to avoid being noticed. I was content with simply seeing her, and having the story to tell but there was a strange need to 'document' the event which I can't explain, like 'Oh I really want a picture so I can put it on Facebook'.

Yet one girl in her late teens/early 20s spotted her, and wasn't seated in our row, and was obsessed with getting a picture to the point where the security guard kept telling her to go away and she just wouldn't, and then Anne wielded and gave her a picture. But she wouldn't leave until she had a picture, and was pushing into our space to get one, and she talked about it as if it was some kind of right she had for seeing her.

Although, we seem to live in our age now where everything is documented and flaunted, especially for the Pluto in Scorpio generation and the new technology and social networking which is a force in our lives now (I'm in that generation). It's like having a camera/phone sewn onto the end of your hand and always living at an arm's length, never actually being present in the moment because you're too busy filming it for preservation.

So getting a picture with a celebrity is of much more importance now than it was in the past in my opinion because now you have to share this 'experience' with everyone in your life, so maybe that prompts things get more obsessive in that you have to get tangible 'evidence' of these moments?

Plus with Twitter, it's almost as if there's no barrier in getting in contact with celebrities, you can just message one and have a conversation, or send them an abusive message if you don't like them, or even find out their location and then go to that location so you can see or meet them. I think that further fuels the idea that they are public property in some way and that you have some kind of possession and ownership over them, which I guess could be Pluto in Scorpio in a way.

I'm sorry if I've hijacked this and took it into another topic. Plus, why is Bella so miserable? Why does NOTHING please her?!
