I loathe my current job position (not my career or profession), and hate the company I work for with a passion.

There are a couple of good things, one of which is a friend whom I interface with, whom I admire and who led me to LL. We joke and shoot the breeze via astrology. She's active here.

On the day I started work (the day I actually began working, not the day I signed my employment agreement), my transits were such:

Sun and Mars in 12th House

Saturn in the 10th House

Jupiter and Pluto in 2nd House

Mercury was in the 11th House, but was making a Square to my natal Jupiter in the 2nd House.

Moon was in the 8th House, and was Opposing my natal Sun in the 10th House.

Venus was in the 1st House but was Opposing my natal Moon in my 3rd House.

Neptune, Chiron and North Node in 3rd House, but compared with my own natals, those three planets/asteroids fell in my 12th House, and conjunct my natal Saturn.

The Ascending sign of that day was Scorpio and my natal Neptune in 9th House closely Conjunct it.

OK. You can see all the afflictions and how frustrated I am.

I took this job because I was out of work after being laid off. I took a steep pay cut to come here (admittedly my paycheck would still make many of you furious about how much bankers are paid).

The Saturn in 10th House denotes discipline and hard work, that I have put into this job for three years.

I see the transit Sun in 12th House as being unhappy, even though my natal Sun is in the 10th House.

I don't understand what the transit Mars in 12th House means. My natal Mars is in 11th House.

Jupiter and Pluto in 2nd House sounds good, but its delusional because all that nonsense about paycheck increases and promotions have been total nonsense. This is a foreign institution, and the biggest incompetent expat moron still trumps the most competent local employee. I used to work in an American institution driven by meritocracy, not seniority in company service, not age and definitely not ethnicity.

The transit Mercury was in 11th House, just like my natal Mercury, but was Square my Jupiter. I think it shows tremendous disappointment via squashing of optimism, but I don't understand what that means.

I don't understand what transit Moon in 8th House means. My natal Moon is in the 3rd House. Neither do I understand what transit Venus in 1st House means and why it opposes my natal Moon in 3rd House. My natal Venus is in the 12th House.

Most of all, I don't get what Neptune Conjunct Chiron in the 3rd House means, and my transit North Node in 3rd House I interpret to be "feed the family" was my top priority.

Please help. Thank you very much.

Ian, to have feedback on this thread you need to post your natal chart with CURRENT transits AND progressions.

OR, a horary chart with your specific career question.

My current transits, but my question relates to the day I was hired.

The day you were hired is irrelevant since you are looking for another job opportunity, right?

Or, are you asking whether things will improve in your current job?

If you are asking what career opportunities lie ahead for you, the day you were hired in this post is irrelevant.

Understood.

Thank you!

Anyway, I got a tiny pay raise today. I guess its better than not getting a raise because most people didn't. But I'm grossly dissatisfied and actually quite peeved by the insulting raise.

Many would call me ungrateful, but I can't help the way I feel after putting in my work and dedication.

Lately, I've found it tough to find any happiness outside of my home and God.

you *should* have posted your natal with transits for the day you were hired rather than current day...

Transiting sun, moon are negliable in effects..
In 4months time prog moon will be conj ASc, and this could herald a new 28year cycle if you plan and capatilise now..
Middle march T uranus will be conj prog venus and this could herald disruptions in earning capacity. Venus rules 8th (joint finances) and 3rd (communications)

You ARE just coming out of a long *major* transit of pluto to sun and this may well have caused many problems in all areas of your life over past 2years or so

Prog sun is 1' approach prog mars in12th, and this suggests an inner freedom and independence

merc retro makes for a very analytical mind but gets a boost from exalted mars in cappi, but this can be too forceful at speech and arguementative to,.

Saturn square neptune can be prone to depression and saturn in 12th suggests a lack of father, archetypal influences in early childhood...

MC ruler Jupiter posited in 2nd
Ruler of the Tenth House in the Second House, but is also a *singleton* and is worth researching

"Your career greatly contributes to your feelings of self worth and you want to be responsible for your own income.
Your chosen profession not the work you do to survive will be financially lucrative. If you're making less than you'd like, become a specialist at something that appeals to you. Being your own boss gives you a stronger sense of personal liberty" http://www.skyviewzone.com/astrology/houserulerships.htm#hr10

Career options are assessed by MC any planets conjunct, where the ruler of MC is placed, it’s aspects, then 2nd house ‘how you earn your money’ and planets there, ruler of cusp and where it’s placed, then 6th house of ‘type of work you do’ any planets there and how they are aspected.

Researching rulers of houses will help you understand more where I joining the dots so to speak http://www.cafeastrology.com/natal/rulersofhousesinhouses.html http://www.trans4mind.com/personal_development/astrology/LearningAstrology/housesDerived.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derivative_house http://www.skyviewzone.com/astrology/houserulerships.htm
