Hypothetically speaking. I was watching one of those tv disaster movies and the planet mercury was colliding into earth. So lets say Mercury was destroyed how do you think that would effect us astrologically?IP: Logged |

Good question but Damnnnn LOL...I guess other planets or asteroids would influence how our thinking operates a lot more if mercury got destroyed...perhaps asteroids such as academia for example would take on more importance in influencing our thinking......Athene would also be another asteroid related to intelligence. The universe is infinite so it will be ok . IP: Logged |

Wouldnt another floating object in the sky whether it be an asteroid or other planet take the place of mercury's orbit? Isn't that how gravitational pull works? Only if the pull of that object's current orbital path were weaker than the one attracting it, though.IP: Logged |

I saw that movie. Glad the wife survived. But sorry the other guy and girl died.I view Astrology as symbolic. Some of the Planets don't have magnetic poles, and some are so far away that they are exerting very little gravity. And Asteroids are tiny by comparison. So it's unclear by what force they are influencing us. IMHO, Astrology is more of a reflection of events than cause and effect...as above so below....like a mirror. When you understand about the illusion of time (past/present/future are all one) and see Astrology as symbolic of potential and possible outcomes, then if a Planet were to be destroyed, I don't feel it would matter. But that's just my take. IP: Logged |

One of Linda's first teachers, Sydney Omar, explains it a lot better thsn I do. More reflective than causal. But it's all semantics. However you view the mechanics of it, Astrology works.IP: Logged |

It was a pretty good movie. Just found a great explanation about the science behind Astrology (complete with studies) in Write Your Own Horoscope by Joseph F. Goodavage. Lots of great info on Time Twins. Funny thing is I bought this book long before Lindaland, and Linda wrote the forward! Angels must have been smiling at what was to be. Linda recommended his book Astrology: The Space-Age Science and wrote lots of praises for his work in her forward. IP: Logged |

In the movie, Mercury wasn't actually destroyed. It was deflected from us and took a beating, so the real question is how would its new orbit affect Astrology? Or would it become a Moon on a Planet that has no magnetic field (it was magnetized and attracted to Earth)? Or even become an Asteroid? IP: Logged |

Lol mercury is one my dominant planets. Every time an asteroid hits the surface I die a little inside... which is like every hour or less :PIP: Logged |
