Yeah, I did the typo on purpose (unite) to attract the Virgo ASC crowd.  How does yours show itself? Virgo is an analyzing and critical Sign in general, and so on the ASC the critical nature turns inward. I am my own worst critic. I'm always wondering if I could have done things better and pondering how. I consider myself very well-balanced, but Virgo ASC does tend to be the OCD Placement. It makes me strive for perfection, but in an imperfect world, that can be frustrating, to say the least.  It also grants me an impeccable eye for detail. How does it exhibit itself with you? ------------------

Always thought that was because of my Saturn aspects. I have nothing in Virgo though! But, Draconic AC is at 5° Virgo and Duad Moon 9° Virgo. ------------------

I have a lot of friends with virgo risings. I get along with them very well for some reason.One of them is a editor for a major medical journal. She is SO good with details like that. Extremely intelligent too. That's definitely how it manifests for her. ------------------

Lol, that typo certainly drew my attention. Even though my English isn't all that.Hmm, I wouldn't say that my strife for perfection really hinders me in anything. It certainly gave me the strenght to work on my 'faults' and get rid of those that bothered me the most. Also very helpful with fulfilling a task as good as you can.
I have three Virgo planets and Virgo Rising but I don't feel OCD at all.
My flat is pretty damn untidy...
I don't want to sound like those Virgos who try to deny every aspect of stereotypical Virgoism. I am very hard on myself but I kinda like that. What I don't do (anymore) is criticizing others. It's just annoying to everyone around you and it gives you nothing back. I stopped doing that a couple of years ago and my life got alot easier. I must say that I have Venus and Mercury conjunct ASC. I don't know how much that affects the Rising Sign...? btw. my handwriting is quite big. I can fill a sheet of paper with 5 sentences if I don't watch out.

Hah! I noticed the 'Untie' as well, but I wasn't about to post JUST to correct it. I figured, 'If this guy's REALLY a Virgo Ascendant, then there's NO way he just did that.'  As for me, I'm a 19 Libra Sun-Pluto with Venus in 08 Virgo in the 12H. My Ascendant's 10 Virgo, with Jupiter @ 26 Virgo weakly conj. 02 Libra Saturn in the 1H. If I recall correctly, my final dispositor is Venus or Pluto, given Mercury is in Scorpio. I do get pretty obsessive about my work, and have been called a perfectionist more times than was probably healthy! Diagnosed with severe OCD after moving to LA and going through too much change too quickly. It's levelling out significantly with proper psychotherapy (cognitive-behavioural) and finding the necessary direction for my excessive need for productivity. (Virgo Jupiter conj. Saturn anyone?) Oh, and my handwriting is terrible. It goes through cycles of being clean, legible, and overly precise to something so inane, it's as if my Mercury-Uranus-Mars said, 'Like we have time to try and keep up with the speed of your writing!' I've been typing ever since I was 6 for this reason. Great thread! Very curious to hear from my 'rising siblings'. -AMP

and they call me "miss spell check" because i really cannot ignore a mistake in grammar, spellings and sentence structure LOL. m told m very logical and i do stuff step by step, never skipping even one step otherwise it will keep bothering me!

Mostly, I'm really self-critical over things that have taken place in the past (things I've said, done, etc). Other than that, I don't think I'm too Virgo-y.I tend to notice details as well, but not really in the way that I feel it's usually described for Virgo Asc. For example, if something is out of place, I may not very well know exactly what's off, but I can usually sense that something isn't quite right. IP: Logged |

Sounds just like my mom how it manifests in you. But with my uncle his pickiness of virgo rising is channeled via food. He always has to be a food critic for every meal he has, he has always been this way. With my best friend from childhood he is critical of his body image. Always telling himself and others he needs to lose weight even though others think his weight suits him except my mom with virgo rising would agree with him and told him he is right that he should lose some pounds. My mom goes around worrying about people's weight bc she is a doctor and very concern with health, she is also a cap sun. Her obsession with weight is a bit annoying but she means well as all virgo risings do .

This happens all the time : Me and my Virgo Riser friend go to see a comedy. What happens? Since that kind of films are filled with clumsy/embarrassing scenes,each and every time something funny-stupid happens,she feels the same way! As if she is feeling the embarrassment for the characters! She can't look at the scene! Her catharsis is very virgoan,and very strong. Sometimes if scene really gets to her,she blushes with embarrassment. 'omg,I'd die if that happens to me!' Watching Bridesmaids with her was comedy in itself Virgo can't stand errors,nonsense,embarrassment...  IP: Logged |

I'm Virgo rising with Saturn conjunct from the 12th.As I was heading to my car after work today, I stopped in the parking lot to ponder - could I have don't a better job today?? This is one way VR manifests in me, reviewing the past.
