Transiting Mars conjunct Natal Sun.The first thing to consider is what aspects the Natal Sun is making because Transiting Mars will highlight and trigger these aspects/configurations. Next Mars is a burst of energy, it can also be fevers or confrontations. I always advise people to avoid alcohol during this transit because it can be so disruptive. Much depends on the sign and house of the Sun. IP: Logged |

Many thanks for the insights!! I know I'm just taking piseces of a jizsaw puzzle instead of seeing the whole picture.. hehe... humoring myself u see. More to look forward to. Will u b free to see my sun having any aspects that could b triggered too by the mars transits? From my limited knowledge, my sun in leo at 6'8 does not have a square or opposite aspect w any planets. I do have moon in aquarius but the degree is 23, too far away. IP: Logged |

Hello again, Mars is not getting ready to conjunct your natal Sun. It's at 23* Virgo right now and your Sun is 6* Leo so it has already passed that point. What it is getting ready to do is conjunct Natal Mars, this is called a Mars Return. It takes approx. 2 years for Mars to return. What you want to do is have all of your affairs in order when it makes the conjunctions otherwise when T. Mars makes the first square to N. Mars these same issues will pop up again. (and then with the opposition and square again) more on Mars http://moonvalleyastrologer.com/mars_transits.htm IP: Logged |

When Mars hits 10* Libra, that will start your Mars Return. Any issues you are having at that time(legal, career, relationships, etc.) ideally should be dealt with beforehand but in cases where it can not it will be part of the focus of the current Mars Return. The first square will happen when Mars reaches 10* Capricorn. The original issues will pop up again asking for a compromise (square) Next, when Mars reaches 10* Aries, these issues again reappear, this time asking you to make a choice (opposition) Finally when Mars reaches 10* Cancer, the final square, Mars asks for another compromise (square) and the issue will be resolved. I try to go for an issue free, stress free, Return. Good Luck IP: Logged |

ruler of 7th is aries/mars, so transits TO your mars could herald a relationship quote:
Transit Mars conjunct Sun - Brings fruitful and doable business opportunities
You can get an immediate chart interpretation from astro.com. From ‘free horoscopes tab look for free 'personal portrait' or ‘astroclick portrait’ interpretation of a natal chart in the free horoscope section, you simply put the cursor on a planet and it brings a pop up box to explain what it means to have a planet in that house and any other aspects it has to natal planets. plus a six month free transit report in 'short report' Robert Hand gives a valuable in depth explanation of transits here – only slight objection I have with astro, is they use orbs of upto maybe 10' approaching, exact and departing. So most transits seem very long in effect. I use more realistic orbs of 1' approaching, 1' exact and 1' departing. http://www.khaldea.com/ephemcenter.shtml I use--- 1° approaching, 1° exact and 1° departing. If you click on the link listed below for the online ephemeris it will list all planets at any given time. Learning astrology is like learning a new ‘language’ and obviously the more effort you put into something the more your knowledge and understanding will increase. All transits act as ‘background’ influences through a house, until it makes a mathematical aspect to a planet inside or an Angle. For 'timings' I would look to the retrograde hit as the most important trigger, then look to see what the quicker planets are doing especially mars & mercury -- http://cafeastrology.com/transits.html http://cafeastrology.com/transits_2.html http://www.khaldea.com/ephemcenter.shtml http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/transits18.0.htm http://www.astro.com/faq/fq_fh_transits_e.htm http://www.astro.com/astrology/in_transits_e.htm http://www.astro.com/swisseph/ae/2000/ae_2009.pdf http://www.astrologyweekly.com/learn-astrology/astrology-glyphs.php http://www.dkfoundation.co.uk/dkfoundation/BookTransitsAndProgressions.htm Now it's more important to focus on transits from Jupiter to Pluto (poss mars as this is the ignition key)and these planets when aspecting something in your natal chart 'set off' the difficult or nice 'aspects - potential - problems' that your chart expresses. By that I mean if a benefic planet like Jupiter hits/touches/transits your venus, mars or uranus these could be experienced very pleasantly. BUT if your natal venus is afflicted, or badly aspected say conj saturn then jupiter will not has such a good effect. It all depends on how the natal planet is 'aspected' For me I would say external 'events' must be seen by transits, progressions or Solar arcs to Angles ie: Asc/Desc & MC/IC most other times these events are 'internal, psychological matters as in between the ears' Now astro.com uses a much wider orb, possibly something like 10° that’s why when you use the free transit forecast service a transit goes on for months and months. BUT common sense should tell you when the transit is ‘exact’ then it’s at the strongest. Some astrologers swear by 1° approaching produces ‘events’ some say the 1° exact, some say 1° off for triggering events. I personally look to the exact and 1° off for ‘timings’ especially the retrograde hit (backwards hit)
