...in your good romantic relationships? (match up by sign esp. or element in whichever crisscrossy way).I know the significance of this can vary based on an individual's yearning for challenge vs familiarity, however I am curious how it seems to play out (simply in regards to venus/mars)? ------------------ "You may say that I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one..." When looking at a woman’s chart the type of man she would look for is her sun sign and mars traits, plus 7th house planets and house cusp ruler and where that ruler was deposited. When looking at a mans chart for the type of woman he would look for is his venus and moon sign and then 7th house planets and house cusp ruler and where that ruler was deposited. So then we look to 7th and planets posited there, next look where the ruler is that will give you an indication where you will meet partners ------------------ I love the parable, “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, BUT if you teach him how to fish, you feed him for life.” IP: Logged |

interesting..based on that and looking at this chart, what do you think of this person? (this is a man): He doesn't have any planets in his 7th. His 7th ruler (mercury) is in his 12th. This guy is a serious person, despite the fact that he has a child-ish-like outside mask. IP: Logged |

EDIT: @SaggyMC, Perhaps I didn't explain my question clearly -I know how synastry works -I am just interested in people's own personal experiences with how often they find their venus/mars sign are the same sign/element as their significant other. That's why I stated it in specific regards to venus/mars.------------------ "You may say that I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one..." IP: Logged |

I find it happens alot, and the ones that last a certain length all have some similarities to you.Example, here are 4 exs of mine (relationships that lasted longer than 9 months-up to 2 years) Cap sun Aries moon Cap mercury Venus in sag Mars in Scorpio Cap sun Sag moon Libra mercury Venus in sag Mars in aries Cancer sun Scorpio moon Gem mercury Gem venus Pisces mars Leo sun Taurus moon (I just realised I've dated two people with the same sun and moon combo lol) Mercury in Leo if I remember Venus in Leo Mars in Virgo It seems I get with alot of fire venuses? I've dated 3 Sag venuses in total (the other one I didn't mention had a cancer moon and Aries mars) and two Leo venuses and one Aries venus (taurus sun, gemini mars I think). Have also dated for a couple of months a Cancer venus (leo with pisces moon). I'm an Aries rising Virgo sun Libra moon, venus and mercury Virgo mars Wow I just realised there really is a pattern as to what I find attractive. o_O IP: Logged |

Almost always! I have Venus in Taurus and Mars in Capricorn. I had a pretty nice connection going with a guy who has Scorpio Venus and Capricorn Mars. And I actually recently met another guy with the same combo (Scorpio Venus & Cap Mars) who is into me. But my best romantic relationship was with Virgo Venus & Scorpio Mars! I am currently friends with a guy who I have a good feeling about and it might develop into a romantic relationship. He has Taurus Venus and Taurus Mars. My longest relationship was with a man who has Libra Venus and Virgo Mars -- but he was not all that suited to me sexually. We were close on other levels - but I wouldn't say it was 'great' in the bedroom. My first love had Aries Venus and Taurus Mars.. As much as there were things about his Taurean-side that I really appreciated... the Aries Venus killed it for me.. Also, his Mars was opposite Pluto so he had a sadistic streak. So, in general - I much prefer men who have both Venus and Mars in either earth or water (or a combo). This makes a big difference in my relationships! These guys understand my inner earthy calm and they don't disrupt me. IP: Logged |

Neptune's Daughter - I like that you asked about the elements - because I think this is significant, regardless of whether they are actually in *aspect* or not. Many people seem to disregard the importance of elemental-similarities in synastry. IP: Logged |

^ You're so lucky to have placements where it's easy to find a good match. For me, even though I'm an earth sun, if I go with cappy and cancer, it eventually always ends up with us clashing cos of my libra and aries =(. But I also need that stability, and I'm not terribly extroverted, so I wouldn't be able to handle sb with too much fire and air normally (and I find them a tad flighty at times). But if I go with sb watery, I get annoyed bc they're overemotional, and if I get with somebody too earthy, I can find them dull. Kinda frustrating seriously. IP: Logged |

Man with Capricorn Sun, Gemini Moon and Aquarius Venus. I'm attracted to neither Gemini nor Aquarius women. I'm attracted mostly to Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo. I chose to marry a Leo woman and she is very much like an Earth sign woman. I like the driving, determined, ambitious, outspoken, honest, level-headed, diligent, analytical qualities of an Earth sign woman. I'm fundamentally incompatible with the water signs and air signs, and they see my serious self as boring anyway. I'm too brutally frank, straightforward and practical for non-Earth sign women. And I absolutely hate mind games or double speak. IP: Logged |

I have my venus in gemini and mars in aries. I don't if venus in gemini make you versatile when it comes to romance. I feel that way sometimes. I usually can get along with people with venus in pisces to mars in capricorn. I have venus in 12 house. 12 house is less about your needs and more about the universe (others). I knew this person with venus and mars in the 12th house and she was just so magnetic/ likable and vulnerable. We did not have the best synastry aspects too.I have a tendency to make people feel "special" if I'm attracted to them. I think thats apart of the whole seduction process, and I think 12th house makes me a somewhat vulnerable. I usually do not have a problem snagging people I want :P Lately my love life has been pretty dry thou :/ IP: Logged |

Mintgirl - Actually in a sense my Venus/Mars trine makes things easier.. but sometimes I get hurt by people who are *so* vastly different to me. I'm very calm and laid back.. I don't like games or drama - but so many people around me seem to be very 'hectic'.. in a way that annoys me. IP: Logged |

Yeah I just want a relationship that's easy with no drama. But so many people thrive on the mind games and ups and downs. I like stability.IP: Logged |

Yes, that earthy presence that pulls your suitors hither! LOL If you're like the guy I like I have mars in taurus, venus in aqua -I said that last hoping you don't write me off! Lol It is my only air planet (save chiron in gemi). I'm hoping my venus being in a friendly sign to his mars helps lol He DEF was reserved and seemed thrown-off of my venus aqua that was showing a bit when we first met lol Once he got me more to himself he didn't seem to mind though haha (he's taurus sun) My crush may not have any planets in air (save chiron in gemi) if his moon is in virgo instead of libra. I'm leaning toward him maybe having I moon in virgo and gemi asc but -oh idk! Lol ------------------ "You may say that I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one..." IP: Logged |

Sign or element, ND? Because statistically, you're more likely to have element rather than sign, obviously.I've dated only one man with Mars in Virgo, and he was an abuser, who especially enjoyed taking it to the bedroom in a not-so-consensual way. So, that kinda killed the 'Ooh! His Mars on my Venus!' experience for me. For me, it seems to be in the dwads. My husband's Mars is in late Pisces QD my Venus. My muse's is in late Aquarius, also QD. My poor Venus is stuck in the dark (shadow) in my 12H, so she never really gets out much anyway. It takes something like a QD to get her to put down her book (which ... must be lit by magic, considering she's in the dark. Don'tcha love it when analogies break down?) One of the loves of my life had his Mars almost exactly conjunct mine, therefore squaring my Venus. We were born a couple of years apart, too. My ex-fiance's Mars was in early Pisces, if I recall correctly. Weak opposition. My first boyfriend's was in Cancer. I don't remember if it made an aspect, though. It was late, so it might've been quintile. We were very creative together and had been extremely close friends through childhood. Lessee ... I was closely bonded to a man (also a boyfriend, in high school and then again in college; we remain close and pow-wow a lot professionally, since he's in my field) with Mars in Scorpio. Early. Nicely sextile my Venus AND exactly to my Ascendant. He later confessed he was a stupid boy and didn't know why we broke up. I told him it was so that he'd be single again when his soulmate popped up. (Soulmate, yes, twin? Dunno.) He figures I was probably right there. His Venus was closely semisextile mine, and made a nice sextile to Juno. One other man, who I STILL adore and is very much a companion soul (we were just on different paths, and figured it out before we really hurt each other deeply) has Mars in late Virgo. It was tightly conjunct my Jupiter. I have NO idea how the sex would've been, but I figure it could've been pretty awesome, given the sextile to Uranus-Moon, and the quintile to my Mars. Meh. Life. Nice topic, though. I think I'll stop there. I could do this for far too long!

I'm a Pisces Venus/Sag MarsI've dated a: Gem Venus/Aries Mars (his Mars is actually conjunct my Venus but out of sign) Cap Venus/Aries Mars Libra Venus/Virgo Mars Aqua Venus/Taurus Mars Leo Venus/Leo Mars So really, I've dated mostly Fire Marses and every kind of Venus EXCEPT water like my own (perhaps because my chart is low on water so people with water Venuses are not attracted to me). True. I tend to attract people with Moons at 21 Virgo, which is the degree of my Sun Dwad. IP: Logged |
