Hello I am new here. I have a fixed T square in my chart. With two planets in the fixed houses. Any insight? Anyone with similar stuff?

Aquarius sun, Cancer moon, Taurus mars.

Sun opposition moon
Mars square sun
Mars square moon

Sun in 5th house
Mars in 8th
Moon in 10th (almost 11th)

My sun is very close to capricorn and the moon is close to leo, so they aren't terribly tight aspects. However I feel like this t square dictates my very freaking soul. I have a huge anger problem and when I get really mad I can't help myself from exploding. I hate this about myself but I feel powerless to stop it from happening. It's almost like I enjoy destroying my life and sometimes I even feel good seeing things become ruined. I have always had anger issues and have been physically violent towards others. I even had a violent job and take martial arts classes. I know the mars squares tend to make one angry and even violent or attracted to violence. Is there anything else about this configuration except... anger and violence?

Can you post the chart please?

T Square http://www.drstandley.com/astrologycharts_tsquare.shtml
“Two planets in opposition squared to a third. The tension typical of the opposition aspect is aggravated by additional problems introduced by the third planet. Often an obstructive feature blocking the normal flow of behaviour of the person. Person needs to develop activities represented by the "missing" arm of the T-square to achieve wholeness” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natal_astrology#Aspect_patterns http://www.skyscript.co.uk/aspects2.html

“The t-square is exactly like the above configuration except that one of the signs is missing. Time and again this is described as trying to sit in a chair with three legs. Ironically, the individual becomes the fourth leg by acting out the traits which are missing in the chart.” http://www.skyviewzone.com/astrology/moreaspects2.htm

what tends to happen with T Squares is that a transit, progression or solar arc comes along and temporary converts it to a Grand Square, which does cause enormous tensions/problems internally, but the good thing is the get you up off your backside to resolve issues.

first thing I would look for would be mars hard aspect to Uranus or pluto....

I feel a little uncomfortable posting a lot of info online due to people in real life having seen my chart. :/ Mars is also square my mercury. Pluto is in scorpio but no aspect to my mars.

Hm, directly across would be in 2nd house owned by scorpio. No aspects to pluto in scorpio but that is the only planet there. Would this mean I focus overly on scorpio-type things?

The Mercury sq Mars I've seen a lot in people w.horrid tempers. They just pull rotten things out of their ass to say that have no bearing on the situation at hand.
Mercury conj Mars has shades of this but the square is more..apparent.

Here's a link,

quote:
You are strongly opinionated, and get angry when your views are not accepted. People may avoid getting into a conversation with you because you will start an argument at the slightest provocation. You are not a good listener if the opinions being expressed are different from yours. You find fault with just about everything, and no situation is too insignficant to escape your notice. Your rudeness to others is tactless and abusive, and you don't even realize it. You should learn to be silent when you are not fully informed on a subject, or you risk being ridiculed by those who know what they're talking about.

I don't like this one in either natals or in synastry because it's too easy to go off. There's not even much thought to it, just automatic trigger.

Moon sq Mars I've seen as quite touchy and defensive, to the point that people commonly laugh at them because of their childish reactions. It's hard to take them seriously when they get angry -- because you see blind emotion behind it, and they also often stumble over their words, it's just based on a mood. To me they're always gonna be just kids inside, a child having a tantrum. I think they're kind of sweet actually, because they look so helpless when they're in that state, you just want to pacify them and tell them that it's going to be OK that they have nothing to worry about. But people who don't like appeasing others would often see it as something to laugh at.

Sun sq Mars I haven't personally seen as contributing much in the way of anger issues. They may be more abrupt than avg, but it's not what I'd call a violent aspect on its own.

I don't have very many strong opinions but get my feelings hurt too easily by people I trust. Things make me so mad I just want to die. I guess there is no hope for my blind rage. So I guess the moon square makes one easily offended and the mercury square makes the person just barf it out? Or maybe I'm projecting my own feelings and experiences too much.

There's not much we can do to give more info since you won't post the chart.
But I know people like to feel down on themselves sometimes.

T-squares are def something hard...

One of the angriest, most temperamental persons I know has Jupiter in Aries opposite Uranus in Libra squaring Saturn in Cancer.

But she has some really good control and knows how to constructively use her temper, even if it's quickly (Uranus? Mars in Gemini?) roused.

I have like 3-4 t squares lol. I'm not violent, angry or temperamental.

It really depends on how you handle yourself. Some people choose to fly off the handle. That's them as a person, it's not just their placement.

well, i have a 7 planet t-square and it involves jupiter opposing saturn, uranus, neptune squaring my sun, mars, merc so i can relate with you on having a VERY violent and rageful temper.

i honestly think its the mars. considering its square your moon, merc, and sun. plus your moons already in a sensitive sign being squared my a mars in taurus. when taurus is angry its REALLY ANGRY, i know cause my risings in taurus and since i was little i was very aggressive and tempermental. and im assuming your mars is in the 8th house making it all the more explosive and highly emotional coming out in bursts.. but through time you just learn to control yourself and find an outlet. try not to let people bother you so much and figure out a method that gets yourself under more control and venting. meditate, work on talents, projects, find something that makes you happy and use that to detour your emotions.

ive just had to learn to control myself and walk away when i feel like im getting pist. i try to cool myself down before i really explode and start to work on something, whether its writing, cleaning if its at work, drawing, organizing haha. then by then im starting to be ok and once i can think more clearly its over with. but being by myself works a lot better than around people when im upset becuase it seems to make it worse

Hello everyone, my t-square consists of an opposition from my 11 degree pluto and my 9 degree jupiter in taurus and both square my 9 degree aqua mars in my 7th. My leo asc is at 3 degrees and my 1 degree taurus sun and 2 degree mercury are loosly involved as well. Also, my draco sun and merc are at 9 degrees taurus LOL! My draco asc completes the t-square.

And all of this is made worse by my 12th house cancer moon (that's tightly opposed by 3 outer retro planets) I do not get angry often or even unreasonably. But when i am upset, i just really really need to be alone because i have yet to find a creative outlet for all that energy. It certainly is tough especially because all the men i have been with have completed my t-square with their 9 degree pluto. I am not sure if it is my leo asc, but i am always, always aware of myself. And i have never, ever been violent, haven't ever broken a dish in anger or anything, and always people see me as bright and radiant, and it takes years and years for ppl that come into my life to realize i am always undercover

Someone has mentioned that mars square moon leads to "tantrums" of sorts and have observed that.. My ex had his aqua moon squared by his scorp mars and HE is a huge part of why i try really really hard to not make anyone around me uncomfortable, or somehow feel responsible for my feelings because he did that quite a bit.. Draining is an understatement because i crave peace so desperately.

Hi bansheequeen,

Have you ever looked at Gary Goldschneider's astrology books? In his system, your "close to Capricorn" sun is a sign in itself: you're either a Sag-Cap "Cusp of Prophecy" person or Cap-Aquarius "Cusp of Violence, Mysetery and Imagination." The latter is more prone to angry outbursts (as the name suggests.)

Your moon sign, close to Leo, may be on the Cancer-Leo "Cusp of Oscillation" (in Goldscheider's terminology.) This is a volatile and difficult place for the moon. If it's on the Leo-Virgo Cusp, it should be much easier to control your emotions.

Just throwing this out there because I know about it

Best wishes,
Faith

Oops, I just saw your sun IS in Aquarius.

You might find it comforting to look up Gary Goldschneider's description of people born on the Capricorn-Aquarius Cusp; his book The Secret Language of Relationships has a long essay on it.

These people are prone to violent outbursts...but have a lot of good things going on as well.

I can relate but my T square goes like this - Sun opposite Uranus and both squaring Mars. I have a temper and can get angry very quickly. With mars in Capricorn in the 8th - sometimes I hold my anger in and it smolders. Sometimes my patience is long (Mars trine Saturn) but I will get to a point where enough is enough and I'm done with whatever.

If I had to say what my vice is it is anger. Though there are ways I can channel my anger so I don't get into trouble. I find ways to manage it and try to do some different ways to deal with or to perceive things.

My father had an awful temper when I was a kid growing up and he would explode several times a day. He still explodes over such small things too and over the smallest annoyance. I don't visit my father much as it is very tense when I do and I talk to him every few weeks for a few minutes.

This is the imprint he left on me. My folks were very young when they had me and both were not ready for kids. My father never had any patience with children and would get upset if I didn't do things perfectly or if I had any problems. Then both would come down my throat and rip my heart out......

(IF you read Betty Lundsted's book called Astrological Insights in Personality - it will show you which parent had what influences on you etc) It goes over the Parent - child relationships. I LOVE THE BOOK!

Thanks everyone!

BeholdAstarte: Yes I have been so angry since I was a child too. It's so had when it takes over you. I thought taurus would calm my mars down but I guess taurus can be extremely angry too! One of the angriest people I know is a sun taurus. Fixed mars in it's opposite house maybe. I take martial arts classes and exercise or just try to lose myself in television. Yeah I do better when I'm alone at these times as well. There really is nothing people can do or say that will make me calm, it's all just up to me.

Adonis: Oh lord. Men with pluto in early scorpio complete my t square... which is like most men I've ever known due to being the right age and whatnot. Though I've had a lot of great friends with people born in early scorpio. I worry that I drain people like you mentioned, and I'm so sure I do. I think everyone I've ever known just thinks I'm too much to handle and walks on eggshells.

Faith: Oh I have heard of those books! Well, the secret language of birthdays but I am really interested in looking at the relationship one. Wow, I gotta look more into those books. I know I was born in the capricorn-aquarius cusp.

Cynnared: I guess having mars be the center on the t square puts a lot of stress on it. Both my parents had bad tempers and I remember my dad having an explosive temper as well and it was the one thing I still associate about him. I don't have their birthtimes but I have always been interested how my astro relate to them.

I'm calm in my day to day life really. I guess I should have mentioned I don't just yell at everything, it's very triggered. Also I'll get hurt way before I get angry but when I get mad it doesn't switch off.

I know one.

Sun 23Sco(1st) | Mars 23Aqu(3rd) | Moon 23Tau(7th)

What do you think of this one, Lonake?

------------------
Ask Me anything. Anything. I will contrive to bring you the answer. The whole universe will I use to do this. So be on the lookout. This book is far from My only tool. You may ask a question, then put this book down. But watch. Listen. The words to the next song you hear. The information in the next article you read. The story line of the next movie you watch. The chance utterance of the next person you meet. Or the whisper of the next river, the next ocean, the next breeze that caresses your ear—all these devices are Mine; all these avenues are open to Me. I will speak to you if you will listen. I will come to you if you will invite Me. I will show you then that I have always been there. All ways.
